Yeah I tried that warranty. Not worth the phone call. Jeep screwed me and denied. The person on the phone that opened my “case” didn’t even know about it. I had to send her the link. Denied with no reason or recourse. GG is the biggest ripoff to come out of Jeep.

So to summarize. Over 20 years of Jeep driving experience including plenty of windshield strikes on trails and highways. This is my 4th Jeep. This is the first one with Gorrilla Glass and it is the WORST windshield I’ve ever owned. I’m not alone…. Google it…. or not. I don’t care.

I’m glad it worked for you. And yet mine busted up when a small pebble hit on the highway at only a couple of weeks out of the dealership and Jeep, regardless of published warranty, screwed me and refused to fix it. I will tell that to everyone I meet. Thanks.

Gee, Gorilla Glass again…. I’m shocked… not. When do we start the class action suit?!?!?!? It’s snake oil. Mopar actually has a published two year “warranty” on it. Google it, it’s online in .pdf from Mopar. Jeep won’t honor it with no recourse available.

Never looked into the legalities but I've never been stopped either so I doubt it.

Wow you guys are very helpful. You’re giving me a lot of food for thought about future requirements I hadn’t even thought about. I intend to hang on to this vehicle for a long time and flexibility is a consideration. As my dad always told me “Buy right, cry once.”.

Hummmm, hadn’t thought of going that route but I can see the advantages of yiur setup. Will look into those ?

I won’t need a rack on it. Mostly to protect my hunting and/or camping gear while traveling. General hauling of stuff that I don’t want in the open like range gear, ammo boxes etc.
