Took my Gladiator for its 2nd free oil change and tire rotation yesterday.
Called for an appointment and was pleasantly surprised to be given an opening the following day. They used to be blocked off 2 weeks out.
I hadn't been at the Jeep dealer in six months. When I get there I am again...
More dirt on Tavares and Stellantis keeps coming out every day

Fiat is a non-starter in N.A. Fiat cannot really serve as the provider of affordable, fuel efficient models here.
There is no good reason for Dodge to not offer affordable, efficient and stylish models that compete against Honda, Toyota and Mazda, other than Dodge's market positioning being...
Antonio Filosa is an Italian who made his career at Fiat Brazil. Got appointed to head Jeep and then N.A. only a few months ago.
Filosa represents North American consumer interests as much as I represent those of Martians'. 😫
Profits are important, no doubt. But they are short-term and backward-looking.
FCA, and now STLA, have become so obsessed with "margins," that their overall strategy makes no more sense.
I agree.
Jeep started to come undone at the seams when Marchionne, in his infinite wisdom, decided that Jeep was going to be "luxury," and follow Land Rover's strategy.
While Jeep has had a "luxury" positioning in overseas markets, Jeep as "luxury" is a non-starter here in N.A., its largest...
The guy in charge of Jeep remains a Tavares henchman.
Stellantis has all these "Jeeps" planned for overseas markets that are not even going to be offered here. Meanwhile, the Jeep brand is languishing in its home market.
Sadly, I don't see any of this changing any time soon.
The incompetence with which Stellantis, under Tavares's leadership, has damaged its North America business defies logic.
CDJR remain Stellantis's biggest source of global profits, yet Tavares has continually treated Auburn Hills like the red headed step child.
Let's hope this change in...
The man was an empty suit. He was always getting caught by surprise and took responsibility for nothing.
Wonder how many millions it took to get him to sign that resignation letter.
FIAT heir John Elkann will be in charge until a replacement is found...
MOPAR used to stand for good quality, perfect fit, OEM warranty; all for a reasonable price. But like everything else under FCA and now STLA, Mopar has become just another money grab.
In 2020 I got the dealer to install a Mopar lift on my 2018 JL Sahara. Mopar was offering a special on parts...
Sadly, the vast majority of Jeep dealers are simply atrocious. See my sig below.
"Pulling teeth" is so normal for Jeep dealers, they would make a lot more money in dentistry... 😫
Price is only one of STLA's problems; STLA has a VALUE problem.
Most consumers are willing to pay more....IF they feel they are getting more in return.
But STLA refuses to do so. They have jacked up prices across the board while pulling back on what consumers get - quality, warranty coverage...
In my experience, Extreme Terrain has been sucking for awhile now. I stopped buying from them a few years ago.
And wasn't TeraFlex sold to 4 Wheel Parts? I remember reading something of the sort. 4 Wheel Parts are the masters of stupidity.
Hope you get things resolved.
There is another storm coming tomorrow; it should be dumping a good amount of snow on the Cascade mountains. Oregon is supposed to get a ton this time.
