Which radio do you have? Are you talking satellite radio? Not sure what you mean about artists/songs are you talking about what's playing currently or a quick browse of what's playing on different channels.
I don't want to send you info not pertaining to your want/need.
My guess is Craigslist is probably going to be a better avenue for overland takeoffs. I just pulled all five of my overland rims and tires and other than someone with a sport I assume the gladiator forum is going to be full of folks looking at the bigger setups so haven't even bothered to post...
Yeah straightened frame on a 50k vehicle with less than a thousand miles that is just wrong. Never mind what electronics or gear issues.
I am sorry for your hassles and bad luck. When your parked and not even in the truck there is literally nothing you could have done.
I never thought of it but the only new vehicles I have ever bought were all Jeeps this will be the third new car/truck (and one motorcycle) however I tend to hold on to them. The JT is my third vehicle purchased in about 12 years and I traded in my 2011 JK for it.
I just got a set of rubi takeoffs with the wildpeak AT tires today. They have a more aggressive look than my overland stock tires, only did a quick test drive after putting them on but they feel good. The mud tires are cool but if your looking at a daily driver style with occasional trail work...
The blockage you are seeing is more than likely silicon (dilectric grease) to prevent crap and water from getting in there. After swim meets we put that on all of the timing gear to prevent corrosion and accidentally having something arc.
Put on LE takeoffs to replace the overland rims/tires thanks to a fellow forum member. Thanks @MaximusDecimusMeridius new shoes make it look better. Now I just have to put on the rubi takeoff suspension to tide me over until I put a lift on it. It amazes me the difference in agressive looks...
So far mine has been a "home improvement crawler" grabbing things from lowes, home depot, menards, etc. All those thinks I could never fit in the JK.
That or the multiple drives a week in a steel mill as part of the work needed to pay for the damned thing.
I did the exact same thing. They were amazed I didn't want to advertise for them and I told them it was 5k per addon (sticker, license plate holder, etc) needless to say there are no stickers or anything.
You partially just answered your own debate. You have a budget and you have a year before you can make a move. Unless your trading in something significant your going to need to be able to pull $500-600 a month at a minimum (figuring overland rubi not base sport). While your test driving and...
pretty good thinking there. I might give that a try. I didn't buy the rail system so this is a basic yet functional idea that can use spare stuff from around the house.
I am picking up a set from someone who put a 3.5 or 4.5 inch lift but anyone who is buying the mopar 2 inch lift it comes with new springs, shocks, etc so if you have a whole setup you really don't need the original setup for anything other than an interesting paperweight set. So why not try to...
Take a look at the "overland brag" thread. You will see reasons why various folk decided to go for the overland. All in all there is always going to be the group that tell you the rubicon is the only way to go but the gladiator adds an extra level of oddness in the decision factor with the max...
