That’s a tough one, especially if it’s the same issue coming back.
At that point I’d be tempted to at least take a look myself first before going the dealership route. Do you know where the failure point was last time?
That’s a serious list 😅
At least it’s being used the way it’s supposed to be!
And yeah… that last part might be the most reliable component on the whole Jeep 💪💸
Yeah at that point it’s hard to justify going through warranty… especially if you already know what you want to replace it with.
Sounds like the 5100s have been a solid upgrade though 👍
Oh that’s a pretty early hit on the transmission… especially at 21k.
And sounds like once it got past warranty, a bunch of the smaller stuff started stacking up too
Hopefully it’s been a bit calmer lately?
That makes a lot more sense then. 60+ on washboard will definitely expose any weak points pretty quick. Still though… you’d hope it would go a bit longer before giving out.
But sounds like you’re actually using it the way it was meant to be used and having fun along the way!
This might be the most honest Gladiator ownership review yet 😂
But yeah… there actually are windshield protection films made for this exact problem. They act like a sacrificial layer so you’re not constantly stressing about chips/cracks.
It's important to do your research since some hold up a...
That’s rough, especially that early. You’d expect the Mojave setup to hold up a bit better.
Were you running it pretty hard off-road or mostly daily driving?
What’s something on your Gladiator that wore out or took a beating quicker than you thought?
Could be:
Tires
Suspension
Interior
Windshield
Anything else
Always interesting to hear what people didn’t expect.
Quick heads up Gladiator owners —
Our $50 off ULTRA windshield protection promo ends tonight (March 31st at 11:59PM).
If you’ve been debating whether to protect your windshield or just deal with replacements, this is the best time to make the move.
One rock at highway speed is all it takes...
Haha not quite that heavy-duty 😅
It’s a purpose-built windshield protection film — designed to absorb and disperse the impact from rocks before they hit the glass.
Think of it like a heavy-duty screen protector for your windshield, not armor plating.
Hey Gladiator owners – what’s actually been cheaper for you long term?
Replacing windshields as they crack…
Or doing something to protect it upfront?
Between highway driving, job sites, hauling gear, and weekend trails, these windshields take hits constantly.
And once you get that first...
ULTRA is a single-layer film, designed specifically for impact resistance and optical clarity.
It’s backed by a 3-year warranty, and built to act as a sacrificial layer to protect your windshield from chips and cracks.
Genuine question for Gladiator owners —
Do you protect your windshield… or just accept you’ll replace it eventually?
Between highway miles, job sites, hauling gear, and weekend trails, these trucks take a beating — and windshields usually pay the price.
So we figured we’d throw this out...
Totally get the hesitation. It always seems like the second you replace it, that’s when the next rock shows up 😅
Warmer temps should definitely reduce the random cold-spread type cracks though, so that’s a win.
Keeping our wipers crossed it holds up for you 🤞
Oof, that’s brutal — especially noticing it before a long cold drive.
Once they start, those cold highway miles seem to make them grow fast. Totally get putting it off too… it’s never a fun expense.
Has it stayed about the same since, or is it still slowly creeping?
I see, this makes sense. Fixing them early is key and keeping a couple glass repair kits on hand is honestly smart, especially with how easy it is to pick up small nicks.
Are you finding you are constantly repairing knicks in your windshield?
