Coming from a JK, I used to get a lot of broken windshields. A few guys in my club got windshield protection film onto their wranglers. I checked out what they were using and noticed it fits onto our JTs as well so I bought a kit. It went on easy, I've had it on for a few months now. So far so...
Just curious, is anybody using their gladiator as a work truck? I'm so used to seeing the f150 or big white vans used as a work truck, wondering if anybody is using their gladiator instead?
I'd love to see some pictures of it all set up with toolboxes, maybe a Laffer rack, etc.
I've been really happy with my film for protecting the windshield. Since it is a self install, it's half the price of exoshield, but seems to have better reviews from what I've seen.

It sounded nice, but my detailer said it didn't last very long. I believed him, because the racing optics only estimates it lasts 6 months per layer, so the two layer option is about a year. It also cost more. I'd be curious to hear from somebody who bought the tear offs and how they worked.
I've had it on mine for about 6 months. Very happy with it. I did put a ceramic coating on it, which really helps the water run off. Prior to that, it was similar to bare glass in terms of rain running off of it.
When I first installed it, I noticed a little bit of distortion, but it went away...
I went with a kit that I installed myself:

It was with a different film that people I talked to said seemed to be a better film. Since I installed it myself, it was a lot cheaper than the quote I got on exoshield. I asked my detailer...
Any reputable shop would make this right. An dealerships, while I'm not a fan of using them for maintenance since they're overpriced, will usually do the right thing in these circumstances without needing to push them.
