Hello All - The Pentastar V6 engine used in a Jeep environment for both commuting and off road use, offers number of advantages over the smaller 2.0L I4 turbo engine.
The naturally aspirated 3.6 L engine offers a wider power band, which is also smoother throughout its range compared to the...
You'll be going backwards - The all around best engine is the V6. There's nothing like cubes for pulling. The eight's pretty much for show unless your pulling heavy. It's the same reason you don't see small block engines in big trucks. The slower they turn, the longer they last.
Besides you...
Nice try - "Study up" before your start correcting others factual posts. You don't have a clue regarding the principles of this "Simple" Stop & Start battery system.

You're !00% Incorrect - Parallel or series, be it lithium, AGM or flooded, Gel, etc., all work on the same exact principles.
Also note, you can pair two of the "same" or even "different size" batteries in parallel they work fine together, even with different charging protocols. Even with the...
Thanks for the reply - You've got your wires crossed LOL
I'm pretty much up to date on batteries. I design RV lithium systems for most every RV and also provide lithium design for major companies such as Lithionics Battery, Victron and Xantrex.

Well if it does not help to start the engine then why is it there, why are the commons tied together and when the aux battery dies why is there starting problems?
Bottom line aside from not needing this goofy stop/start system, the 2nd battery is just as worthless as the idea because there is no way it can supply the needed ampere to start the motor, so why not just use the starting battery to begin with. Also, Why would we even need a 2nd battery to...
Looks like an over-priced version of a Honda Ridgeline or Rivion sissy truck that will most likely cost close to a $100k. That's not a truck - this is a real truck - Mike
Thanks for the reply - I was going to do that except the large bolt head won't fit in the void between the plastic bumper and hitch mount so I have to drill the plastic and put a plug in. I see dozens of bumper plugs but none say what size hole they fit. Anyone know?
Thanks Mike
LOL well heck if you guys need some of my extra tape I'll rip it off my truck and FedX it to ya.
Thanks for the replies - gee there has to be a better place than that but what ever!
