It actually came with some kind of ecote. So I have not painted it. But its starting to get pretty beat up so I am going to pull it off, rough it up with some sand paper and hit it with some cheapo paint or bed coating as above.
I live in the US and had a RHD JK. I loved that Jeep. It was actually owned by Teraflex and they used it to test fit all of their RHD parts. They built it out for SEMA at one point.
It was a pain to drive on narrow two lane roads where you would want to pass people. Drive throughs were a...
At what point do you go from modding your Jeep to a full on build.
I see a lot of people claiming "builds" when they really just bolted on bumpers, springs, shocks, and wheels and tires. Oh, and a stubby antennae.
Easy way would be to add spacers, but your spring rates will likely be wrong. That would be the cheapest way to go.
You could buy a pair of front only diesel springs from any lift maker for a few hundred and then get spacers for the rear to level it out. That would be another budget way to...
Who did you order from and how did you get the 4th of July date? I ask because I have a kit on order from Northridge and they said it would be about 30 days. Its coming up on that 30 days so I am wondering how accurate that is? I had called AEV (Yes I am a little excited and impatient) and...
I had a Rubicon on order last year when a friend told me about the Mojave that was about to come out. After lots of research, I decided on the Mojave.
TBH though - If you plan on lifting the Jeep and throwing on bigger tires, I'd get the Rubicon.
The best part about the Mojave is the...
I talked to a guy over the weekend that has a Gladiator Rubicon Diesel on order. It has been sitting at the plant for two months waiting on something impacted by a chip shortage. ???
I have always been a full suspension guy and never been a fan of the spacer kits. There are always compromises with spacers.
The biggest draw of the Mojave is actually the suspension though. After blasting across the desert 2 track, you see how well it works. I am shocked at how good it does...
Made the jump to 37s.
Maxxis Razr AT. 37x12.5r17 on Dirty Harry wheels.
Gave it a moderate flex test and it does fine on the stock Mojave suspension.
Waiting for my AEV 2” lift to come in. Regear scheduled for next week. Most likely to 5.38 but may do 5.13s.?.?
I have decided to go with the AEV spacer lift, geometry brackets and adj track bars front and rear from Teraflex.
Also doing 17x8.5 wheels and 37x12.5r17 tires.
Got the wheels and tires today and mounted them up. I don’t have the lift yet.
On a stock suspension, with a decent stuff, you can...
My old TF trackbar on my JK would flex around the mount, but the mount itself wouldn't move. So it was solid side to side, but would still rotate on the bushings front to back. Does that make sense?
I never had any issue with steering sloppiness when I drove it. Maybe jack up the front and...
I haven't noticed any issues. And if Fox is the one supplying it, aren't they to blame for the defect?
Crap happens, glad your dealer is getting it replaced under warranty.
I looked at the Fox 3.0 as an option on my Mojave. I believe the difference is the bolt size. It is larger on the Mojave than on the other and the cast/machined ends of the shock mount wont work with the larger bolt.
