yea I bet you don’t go on the beach 3-4xs a week in a hyper-saltine area. Plus again I don’t do drilled roters, especially on vehicles that I off-road where debris can get stuck into.
Im looking at the rotors and they have two thickness available for the front, 24mm and 28mm. I would think the thicker is better but its actually cheaper and no explanation on either. Not sure which to choose.
I'm gonna try their new red pads, see how they go.
After a search doesn't seem like there's many recent brake threads so figured I start my own.
My JTRD has just under 50k on it and I'm getting the caliper warning(squeaking) that my rear pads are low. Also there has been a notifiable decrease in braking performance. For reference, I've been...
You’d get a better first impression on here if you used the search feature but while I’m here there’s several methods to keep it off including a tazer, jscan, or just unplugging one of the push pins for the hood.
The sooner Jeep puts a new power train in the JT the better. Why anyone would settle for the 3.6 that is barely adequate is beyond me. If it wasn’t for the ecodiesel I wouldn’t have one in my driveway.
Has anyone actually confirmed the 24 grille actually makes a difference? I need to repaint my chipping black grille and was just thinking getting a flat black 24 if it actually made an improvement.
really appreciate the advice. I’m on work rotation for the next two weeks so I’m trying to get a game plane ready for then I’m back. Why I wasn’t thinking breaks because just during decel like letting it coast to a stop will cause the vibration as well. I just hit 40k and the truck has been...
Been having this issue for awhile but today it ended up getting much worse. I get a popping/clicking noise on deceleration/braking from the front and now rear. Just finished a 1700 mile trip towing a heavy enclosed trailer. The clicking in the back is much faster with some vibration. I’m gonna...
It's not about number but about how WELL it tows. Sure the max tow has officially better tow ratings compared to the diesel but the true real life experience is much different. With the 3.6 you have to rev the shit out of it, putting large amounts of stress on the engine and your mpgs just...
Not using it as a truck though like hauling and towing hence why I said, unless as a truck. Plus once you're out of juice you are using the shit 2.0 which is bad in mpgs. I tend to buy things to use them for what they are for, not just for show.
Also would like to know if there's any tweaking to get them in or do they drop right in. Need to take the covers off mine and vacuum the sand anyway so while I'm at it could do a little upgrade.
