Not the best looking vehicle, the front doesn't fit the back. Also way too much English in that vehicle for me to consider it. I owned a Defender 90 in the past and that vehicle was definitely a "one step forward, two back" maintenance queen so that's a hard no.
The JT is most definitely ugly...
Congratulations on wasting $750. It's already been proven with the Diesels that this makes no real world difference. A guy tested awhile back that even running with NO grille made no real change in temps.
I live down in South Padre Island, TX in the colder months and it's extremely briney down here and everything rusts. The rot has seeped in between the layers and I don't think any amount of scuffing is going to help. I'm going to give an attempt and coat with POR-15 but I think the damage is done.
Please tell us how you really feel lol. Here, on this doll show us where the bad diesel touched you. $100 oil filter?? Umm nope. But hey is get the butthurt if you couldn't afford the real engine. Can't understand why someone would settle on an engine as underpowered as the 3.6.
Northern MN to the very southern tip of Texas in South Padre Island averaging 75mph. Never had an issue, averaged 14mpg with the VERY heavy 38x13.5s on stock 3.73 gearing. Go Ecodiesel!!
Wow a whooping 10% on the sway disconnect. If that's not just for bragging rights to your "Bros" I don't know what else it is useful for. While the hybrid is intriguing, inferior batteries plus a long warranty just means I have to worry more about mods and voiding the warranty because you know...
Eh Im on mindset of less badges the better. One of the first things I did was just remove it completely. I got over my badge/sticker phase right around the second F&F movie.
Why is there not a lawsuit in works about this? It's obvious Jeep is not in a hurry to get this resolved and the fact they waited to add additional years even though it's all the same parts shows they are just working the system to be able to keep selling these defective units.
The flash doesn't always fix it plus only for certain years so for some you have to pay for that flash.
Turning the intake around can cause engine damage in certain circumstances. Improperly setting it up is not a fix, it's a band-Aid.
Having to buy another expensive part to make an already...
Same boat as you except I waited to install and I'm glad I did. The cutting into the hood and more importantly drilling into the a pillar made me hesitate. I guess now I'll just sell it.
A 4xe JT would only be a truck look wise. Other than that it will be pretty useless. I can't imagine how much more f a hit the battery weight will do to capabilities. Also where are they going to fit it? Without a big redesign I don't see it happening or it will be the ultimate poser truck.
