My JK has them, but honestly I forget to use them. Every now and then I re discover them all over again...
I generally like the feature.... i do like that the gladiator/jeeps still have physical dials and buttons for hvac / radio / etc. it's fine it's on the "apps" but I use the buttons

We did this in our jku, the seat is entirely different in the jt. It hinges up and down latching at the back. I believe there's not going to be a way to do this in the jt. There's nowhere for the seat to recline to.

I just put the first of it on the door jambs, and lower hinges. Even with mud flaps I few stones find there way up on the side...
I used jb weld in my jku when I removed the front plate, similar, can see it if you look. I’d say is “okay”.
