These are the takeoffs from my 2020 JTR with ~1700 miles. They are perfect, not a scratch. I am keeping the rear corner sliders. Pickup only please. Spanish Fort, AL, $200 PM for connect.
Yeah, I could not accept a 2020 model year that is not tolerable to rive at 55+. BTW my other jeep has grooved unbalance 43s on beadlocks, so I know what a bad ride is and my 37 km3s were unacceptable. I hear ya bud. Best of luck.
Man..... hats off to your patience. This may be a stretch, but you sound open to ideas. Are the wheels mounted hub centric or lug centric? They are balanced by the hub. If lug centric, do you have the correct lug taper for those specific wheels?
If you remember, I had very similar issues at...
Update. I had the jeep aligned and had all 5 tires dismounted, beads removed and tires rebalanced today with stick ons. Happy to say it does not shake anymore. It rides great! STOKED. Had it up to interstate speeds without hesitation.
I am going to attempt having my new 37" km3s balanced by another shop in hopes of smooth high speeds......they were done by 4 wheel parts with balance beads.
Back on the tire topic, I also mounted my go pro at each tire and went for a highway drive with hopes to isolate a problem child, but they were all equally shitty. I think they are all off a bit and just force the chassis around. It is great until 50, noticeable at 50+ and not fun at interstate.
I also got one of these ordered. It should arrive and if so, I will install it tomorrow.....and then Thurs to the new tire shop. I wanted a through shaft stabilizer and also wanted to relocate it our of the way. This one checks both boxes.
On a progress note, it developed a squeak in the suspension. Another member here identified in another post the synyrgy track bar rubs the axle bracket. Confirmed. The reason it "developed" a squeak is the once the powdercoat wore off there was now metal on metal. I had to clearance it in two...
Since my last post I logged about 450 miles on the gladiator and the conclusion is......these tires need better balancing. I finally got it to my appointment today and they cant handle a 37 and they also cannot do the alignment. due to their equipment and my wheels. I have located an alternative...
I think my 37 x 12.5 X 17 Km3s are the source of my shimmy. It is noticeable above 50 and annoying 65+. Mine have balancing beads in them. How are yours balanced and what have you tried in the 6 attempts?
Thanks for this post because that is something I have going on with the Synyrgy bar. Besides elimination the friction squeak did you notice any less vibration after clearancing it? I ask because I am chasing down vibration issues at speed and this metal on metal could be a factor. Mine contacts...
