I had a new BFG KO2 285 70. 17 that req 16 oz to balance. Tire guy sent it back as defective. They use road force balancing. Mine have 30k on them and I havent noticed them being slippery in snow or rain.
i might go Toyo AT III next because they make a C load rated in 285 75 17.
I stand corrected that the seat jackers are not steel. Most wheels are not steel. thw seat jackers are specifically manufactured for each vehicle... still dont recommend washers
the seat jackers are steel and are made to fit precisely underneath the gladiator front seat mounts. A simple washer fix might cause instability where the front seat bracket mounts to the floor as it is not level.
