Not a cheap solution, but adjustable upper control arms. Leave the lower arms close to stock length, shorten the uppers, increases caster without pushing the axle forward.
Pretty sure I read a post on YouTube about your Outback experience. I had a 2020 Onyx XT Outback for about 6 months, it was a great road trip vehicle and probably the most practical vehicle I’ve ever owned but it was just boring to drive as a daily.
Like you I ended up selling it for more than...
I installed it mostly as a preventative measure, so I wasn’t expecting much. With that said the on center steering slop has been tightened up noticeably.
I bought these to relocate the stabilizer, It should work from my research, but won't know for sure until I do the install:
1. Damper Bolt
2. Tie Rod Bracket
3. Track Bar Mount Stud
I was worried about it, but with the Mojave skid plate installed it’s protected for the most part. Ultimately it’s a temporary solution, I’ll be installing a steer smarts tie rod in a few weeks and will be relocating the fox ats to the tie rod.
Haven’t seen any Mojaves with one of these installed yet. I unfortunately, may have drawn the short straw on this one, it put up a pretty good fight during the install. The directions do mention that you have to cut the coil bucket tab to clear the bracket, which was easy enough.
Unfortunately...
The perception that KO2s run a lot smaller than other 37s is a bit of a misnomer. I was at a tire shop yesterday and the owner has a JL with 37” trail grapplers on it, we measured his tires and mine. His were taller by half an inch, which wasn’t as much as either of us thought it would be...
I was surprised to find my 37x12.50 KO2 on the stock steel wheel inflated to 30 psi fit with no rubbing on either the hitch receiver, trackbar, or heat shield.
I just installed one tonight and have the yeti track bar as well. The reservoir would rub at full steering lock so I just flipped it under the tie rod. Plenty of clearance now.
Running 37 BFG KO2s and fairly heavy AEV wheels with the stock 4.10s, the trans does a decent job of masking the extra weight, but any slight incline and its hunting for the right gear. Mileage wise I average about 17-17.5 mpg on my work commute. With that being said I have an appt in Sept to...
