Just over 5,000 miles on my 22 Sport S Max Tow and it's pulled our 5,500 travel trailer to Komiefornia and back plus a trip to Prescott. No problems so far, knock on wood.
We were able to down grade from a 36' 5th wheel to a 26' travel trailer. I had a 3500 CTD for the 5th wheel duties, and it sure was a pain climbing in the back of the truck. With my Max Tow Gladiator, I can lean over the side and touch the bottom of the bed. Since I'm retired, I only drive it...
The wife and I plus the sisters in-laws at Parker Lake in South East Arizona. 2 nights and then one night in Las Cienegas NCA on the way home. It was a much quieter night, other than the cows, but we did camp in their back yard.
That's about what I averaged doing a 2000 mile round trip to Komiefornia and back over the 4th of July weekend. Quite a few mountain passes between South East Arizona and Sonoma County, Komiefornia. I tow a 26' travel trailer that weighs 5,500 lbs.
Mine did some weird stuff yesterday. Pretty much wouldn't load up and actually went blank for a few seconds. I have the 7 inch screen and I don't remember any problems with my Ram 3500 with the 8" screen.
Old thread. I'm looking to switch my new mxt 275 from my TJ to my gladiator. You're post and a post on the TJ wrangler thread puts the head unit in the same place. And another poster is using velcro tape to attach the head units. Looks like this might work in my scenario. Thanks
I've seen you post about sumo springs before and have been thinking about adding them to my max tow. We did a trip to CA over the July 4th weekend doing hwys 40, 58, and I5 and really didn't have any porpoising. I guess my wdh is set just right. Our travel trailer is right at 5,500 lbs. I will...
Did another ride in my sisters-inlaws Bronco today. I believe it's a Big Bend. Rode in the front passenger seat and it just seemed so sparse and plasticy. I've never seen the inside of any of the other Broncos, so maybe there different.
The price on the truck I was looking at was 48,+. Looked like a good deal, had the dark colored dash, which I would prefer. The problem is I have to pull a 5,500lb travel trailer. My max tow does that very well. I just like to dream.
I was looking at Gladiator Rubicons on cars.com and came upon a dealer in Lake Havasu that had desert pro package in the description. It doesn't show up on the build site and all searches lead to Mojave? Or a Toyota package. Anybody else run into this?
