Looking at someday getting the family a 22fb airstream. Looking to see if anyone currently has one and how it's behind the JT.
I do have the max tow and trailer brake installed.

Thanks. And pics please!

While I don't have a 22FB. They are on the forum somewhere.

I tow a 19CB which has close to the same weight of the 22FB and the same front sqft

Wdh is a must. But they pull great. Went from iowa to Utah for spring break and will be headed off to Michigan in a couple weeks.

Thank you and yes, yours is very close the same. How do you like it? Enjoy your trip to Michigan.
Distribution hitch for sure is in the plans.

I don’t have an airstream but my last camper was similar in size / weight.

they pull great behind the Jtmt in my opinion. A good and dialed in WDH will make a huge improvement.

i also found i really like the addition of my sumo springs rear bump stops. Helps a lot with eliminating the porpoising you can get after bumps with a single axle camper.

Thank you for the pics. This is on the must have list! I assume you remove them when not towing.

I've seen you post about sumo springs before and have been thinking about adding them to my max tow. We did a trip to CA over the July 4th weekend doing hwys 40, 58, and I5 and really didn't have any porpoising. I guess my wdh is set just right. Our travel trailer is right at 5,500 lbs. I will definitely keep the idea as an option.

Hi, guys! I am in the research stage of replacing my Nissan Xterra Off-Road, which I have been using to pull my 1962 AS Globetrotter (19' & ~ 3500lbs). The Xterra has over 271,000 miles on it & I probably need to replace, soon. It does a very good, but not a great job of pulling up over the mountains here in the west. I LOVE the Gladiator & have nearly convinced myself to order a Sport S with Max Tow. I've even read a few Car Mag reviews. How do you all feel about the grade climbing ability of your Gladiator? Thank you.

I think there’s a few parts to that answer so I’ll try and answer as best I can. I think the first part would be what are your expectations? And what size or weight camp or are you pulling?

with my first camper I was around 4500lbs and 23 feet long and could move through with the mountains here on the east coast without slowing down much. Once I upgraded to the new camper that’s a little over 6,000lbs and 30 feet long it definitely pulls different. On my last trip i hit a steep grade and slowed to 25mph for the last little bit of the grade.

over all im beyond impressed with the Jt max tow pulling a camper. But im aware its not going to pull like a full size.
