Oh, we added the Mopar Performance kit (Bilstein version) and the ride was incredibly improved. That said, a solid front axle is still a solid front axle.
... it also didn't help any, that we tended to take the roughest roads, because we could. (That, and they are the least travelled, so less...
What I did WITH my Gladiator, not today, but yesterday..
I bid farewell to my Gladiator.
Essentially, the wife has been dealing with some back, neck and shoulder issues, and will be in PT easily for probably another 6-8 months. (Double frozen shoulder)
Since she'd not been able to enjoy...
?? When were these added, and were they not on the Rubicon?
I ask, because all mine had, in that spot, were reflectors. (Swapped them out with the oracle reverse lights)
To be FAIR, I bought mine before Steinjager purchased ACE, and LONG before the crazy markups.
The team at Steinjager were super cool to work with, and gave my daughter and I a tour of the factory.
Still, I can fully understand the desire to NOT spend $1k on something as a possible...
Second vote for ACE Engineering's Rock Rails, that are easily used as steps, too.
Wife and daughter are 5'2-5'3, and use them every trip, whereas they're also close enough to the body, that I, 6'2, can step right over them into the cab.
IIRC, they were claimed to be rated for more weight than...
That Cascadia hood panel just made it to my radar a couple of weeks ago... It looks like a fantastic idea... Been waiting to see some of the long term reviews of it,. because if it's one thing I've learned... Solar panels are NOT all made to last, unfortunately.
Haven't looked to see if it...
Fun little update to my replacement scenario:
Amazon lost the CTEK chargers... 3x in shipping... before finally getting one to me. Topped off the new batteries, tested them.
Rated at 800CCA and 200CCA.. actual production: 916CCA and 485CCA Total: 1401CCA
Replaced the old ones, with the new...
Dunno about where you're at, but many of the local stations around here (admittedly, I'm fairly rural) have backup generators... which is sort of funny, in a way.. using your own product, to deliver your own product. LOL
I can't say all of them do, but I know a large number of QT (QuikTrip)...
If the 4xe version of our JT's came with the hurricane mated to a hybrid engine, I'd be all onboard for that.
The fact is, I'm perfectly ok with 'Hybrid' vehicles, so long as there's another fuel option too... Gas or Diesel.. doesn't matter to me. Because, I can find those stations on the side...
As someone with even powdercoated rock rails (Ace Engineering), I can say, even in that application, where they DON'T come into contact very often with much, other than gravel, dirt, salt, and the person in parkinglots who decide to park too close, and wham their door into them.. even with the...
Right now, I re-hooked up everything back to how it was, with the original batteries, and am leaving the Noco on it all day, just to get to and from work tomorrow.. (60 miles each way)
Because.. surprise!! The CTEK was supposed to be here for the new batteries, between 4am and 8am...
The...
Ok.. so congrats, sounds like you're at LEAST as OCD as I am ;)
Truth is, wife's 2020 GC Trailhawk, also needs to have its batteries replaced, but they're a HELL of a lot easier to get to, and less of a PITA to swap out.
As for other batteries.. only got about 1/2 of an acre, for the yard...
Yep.. got prime.. gonna go ahead and bite the bullet, order that one, and just keep the noco as a spare, or maybe re-gift it to someone less OCD than me ;)
Well, that's a little aggravating.. especially since how popular these things are with the Jeep community as a whole.
Even the size 14 is already reporting full charge. Upside, is after I took the H7 off the charger, it's at least showing 13v.
So, @ecidiego and @ShadowsPapa , what would be...
Yep.. my dad would come back from the grave, and beat me, if I didn't ;)
That said, wish to hell this noco had a friggen meter on it so I could monitor, the way I used to with the old 'Diehard' brick my dad had. The idiot lights aren't that useful, especially when it says it's fully charged...
Tested the Aux after work today, 10.2V, and the primary is already throwing aux switch errors again.
But, it looks like I'm replacing both batteries since local O'Reilly ordered both batteries for me, on Sat, unbeknownst to me... manager called a little while ago, and let me know they arrived...
I'm with Cama, here..
Having driven a few rubicons vs mohaves, I'm not a huge fan of the rubicon stock suspension (just a bit too soft and rolling on road), but like the stock Mohave one.
With the Mopar Bilstein, it feels MUCH closer to the Mohave, imho. Maybe a bit worse on road, but...
Interesting concept. I like the IDEA of it, but its definitely going to need some polish for it to sell.
Love the idea of making the back end the same height as the cab...
Could also consider steel supports, and 'poly' panels. If you go that route, you could even make the panels modular, for...
Wasn't discounting his statement at all, just stating how my brain tends to work.
Honestly? Not that unhappy with the setup I have, now, other than the location of the aux battery being a nuisance. With the portable batteries, at least, I have many other ways of charging them, than having to...
Tazer for the ESS switch, primarily, yeah. That said, also like the rear license plate blackout, and the cargo/front camera, as well as the turn camera, AND the auto-RPM setting for when winching comes in handy. (Literally, used it 2 days ago)
As for the dual battery, I also tend to take a...
