That could be bad if your start/stop battery sh*ts the bed while your on a trip and towing and suddenly your aux brake controller also commences to stop working... Maybe this should be a safety issue brought up to those who build our Jeeps... @JeepCares

I just leave the ball clamp lock in place (as per law, you're supposed to have it locked down whilst towing so you should already have that little piece in your arsenal). They can't move it to get a ball under there so, they can't tow it away.
