  1. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

Thank you. Disable door-open and seatbelt chime its only described how to disable seatbelt chime, and this works for me. its important for us, as the dog is with us in rear and so I don't want the chime all the time, we usually use seatbelts.... but how to disable the door open chime?
  2. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

hey That’s cool. Usually the truck drivers like to have these plates in their windshield with their name on it. But I did not see US state plates with the names, good idea. the word Bettoberteil is basically correct and I just try to think now how I introduced it to our neighbors, I think I...
  3. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

Good Morning into new week! Friday was the day, finally we could pickup the Gladiator with the ModCap installed. great!! Friday evening we installed the water tank and the lower filler panel from @813 Fabrication & Design, really great piece and if I would have read the instructions, Jeremy...
  4. North Carolina White Fender Flares

I guess these are not high fenders, as its from a Sport?
  5. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

good idea for that odd blind waste of space.
  6. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

Yeah! Finally received the rear sway bar reinforcement plates from Metalcloaky Really nice product, install was 25 Minutes, tomorrow we will drop off the Gladiator at Genesis import to install the ModCap from 7th of April. pickup is planned for April 11. :-)
  7. Mopar Fender Flares

82215985AB Does this kit as well include inner liners? It’s not mentioned and no content of box is listed.
  8. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

We have to increase it by 8 inches so that mod cap fits :-) but it’s already not low for German proportions. Same the garages, usually drive in height is 2.10m -> 82.6 inches… Ours is even lower at 2 m height….
  9. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

Did some things on the weekend. installed the AEV3 inch springs, only rear, as I did not want to align front wheels (it’s not so easy first to get an appointment and 2nd to find a garage being familiar with track bars and solid axles..) Mai this resulted in quite some rake, as the rear came up...
  10. Trails Off-road or ONX

Does anybody know how good On X Offroad is in Europe ??
  11. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

That‘s not correct. It worked in my Corvette and M3 flawless (DOT5.1) It simply has higher boiling point, but need to be changed more often(once per year due to watering)
  12. DOT 3 vs DOT 4 Brake Fluid

I would always go DOT4, here in Europe there is Dot3 hardly available, as its low boiling point. Dot5 or even 6 is more for track cars, where brakes get really hot. For Gladiator standard DOT4 will suit no problem. end of day DOT3 will work as well, as its factory in US Gladiators.
  13. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

sounds very good, so got to see if that works for Germany as well. Do they have parking sensor cut out version for front? Don't wanna lose them.
  14. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

so maybe the Dometic is better than? I mean a lot of us brands are not available here in Germany and Iceco can be found only from one importer, so really unsure
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

I would like the APL 52 the most, but it’s simply too huge. And the dual is really question, I think the Dometic may be better with one compartment, but it’s all plastic for 750 euros…
  16. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

yes I know, that is a nice one, and maybe we go for this one, would help with the planned Epic overhead molle panel and its electrics as well. thanks bringing me back on this idea, I just installed one in a friends Gladiator before winter.
  17. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

was some good weekend, even winter came back partly. finalized longer brake line install (+2inches), made the bed base plate out of plywood for the Alu-Cab ModCab, build first stuff out of 80/20 black profiles ordered AEV 3 inch high capacity springs ordered MC rear sway bar brackets and...
  18. It’s time. Grenadier

I bet the Grenadier is better in most aspects - unmodified - compared to a JT. but as it was written before, comparing a truck with a bed to a closed cab, makes no real sense to me. The engine of Grenadier is great, there are already ton of reviews online, try youtube and RonnyDahl in...
  19. German Overland build to explore Europe - EcoDiesel

Hey! Sounds you had a great time! Good you could enjoy it. Autobahn is good, if there they are free of traffic, but with the gladiator on 35s I did never exceed 100 mph (160km/h). It’s not a racer. Yeah, if you can make contact that would be awesome, and if they got something, let’s see. Hey...
