My wife bought a Tahoe. Now she has no problem tossing a few 80 pound bags of concrete in the bed of the JT. This would have never happened 4 months ago.
I know you said you replaced the battery, but which one? Both? Could it be the the PCR is failing the start up test? Could be the Aux battery. I suppose you could pull f42 and rule this out.
It very well could have been a battery related no start and turned into an induced error.
Go back to the beginning. Check your battery install. Charge both batteries to full. Reset the IBS. Random troubleshooting only creates more issues. That's my opinion.
The batteries should be at the same State of Charge. They can be different size batteries, as with our Gladiators. If one battery is 12.8vdc and another is 12.6vdc, there is a potential difference and the two batteries are trying to equalize. This is why it is important to fully charge...
= either battery is weak or both batteries weak or some other things.
If you put a trickle charger on it overnight and ESS is ready, you will have an idea that one or both of the batteries was weak.
If that does not correct the issue, you can reset the IBS. However, you want to do this with...
After getting the Gladiator back from the corrosion warranty work (30+ days), I put the trickle charger on it for a couple of days. ESS has shown "ready" immediately after warmup for the last 3 days. I will procrastinate just a little longer before I replace the batteries.
The Gladiator didn't start off as a large payload vehicle. The loss of half a cab, rear seats and the bed is a great weight-loss program. But like others have said, the new storage area will not remain empty.
Hey, it looks sharp! I think I would have chosen a more durable platform. We had our...
I have used unistrut channel. It is crude but sturdy. I left mine zinc but I suppose you can paint them. The standard unistrut is too tall. You would most likely prefer the short unistrut. The nuts that fit in the unistrut come in a few sizes.
I just read the installation manual at RSE. I can say that you need to look at your sensors or the body ground location. It would not be part of the loadshed since it is connected directly to the battery.
I'm not sure where you are getting power for the RSE steps, but it could be a loadshed issue.
That being said, you could have a problem with the RSE steps that is draining your battery. Once you figure out your battery issue, you can look deeper at your steps.
Any other lights on the dash?
Disconnect and isolate your battery cables at the main negative. Just the top two cables, leaving the IBS on. Charge your main battery and then charge your aux battery.
Verify your aux connections are secure.
Disconnect the IBS connector and reinstall after your batteries are charged...
I like your wheels! I my wife could get in ours with 35s, I'd say that is what I would have. We still have stock wheels and tires on our white Rubicon.
All files on the dashcam are corrupted. I have loaded the micro SD into a Disk Drill program. First attempt recovered 3600 files each at 0mb. Trying a full recovery now. It might finish scanning late this evening.
The truck looks good. I got a new hood, tailgate and one passenger door. The...
I was just on the RSI site and remembered a couple of things. You can mount the Smart cap a couple of ways, with or without bed rails. It would be best if you would look up the instructions for the install you need to do. It might be helpful to ask the seller if they still have the installation...
The latches hold up good, but the locks get a little dry/corroded. I keep mine lubed with chain lube. They are also making a new latch that opens from the inside and the outside. That would be the only upgrade I would do.
I think the seal underneath, where it sits should be replaced. I'm sure that it won't seal like when it was new. I pulled my smart cap off to have my rear window leak repaired. I put it back on but I noticed the seal remained compressed. I reinstalled it in the same exact location. I didn't have...
At this point, I think you will need that same dealership take care of it. How far did you drive without coolant? Probably not a good idea to drive it back to the dealer like it is. Have them send a rollback to fetch it.
I'm afraid they will take a gamble, and fill it with coolant and tell...
You guys have a much better dealership to work with. I started my corrosion journey back in October of 25. My local dealership has failed on multiple occasions. My JTR has been at the third party bodyshop for over a month. Communication has been less than stellar.
