If I am understanding you correctly , there is no comonality between the bed lights and the check engine light. The check engine light is a completly seperate computer and origin point.
Just another dealership trick. If you are dumb enough to accept their low ball offer they will make money when they resale your Jeep then make money on you when you buy a new one.
Driving yesterday morning and went to turn on the lower fog lights in the bumper. Accidently turned on the courtesy lights in the bed. The check engine light came on. Turned the bed lights off the check engine light went off. This was while I was moving down the road. Reached my...
Do the bumper. When you realize how flimsy the bumpers are on these Jeeps you will wonder how Jeep can actually sell these things. When I changed my back bumper I rushed to change the front. I should have made this change on day 1. Can't find a picture of the rear but it is also a Rusty's...
Get a good weight distribution hitch with sway control. I use a Curt. A good trailer brake setup that works and mirror extensions. I tow a similar load with my 2020 Rubicon. I do have Max Tow.
I have my Wavian cans mounted upright on the drivers side of the bed. This way I am able to use a Jiggler from Harbor Freight to siphon the gas from the can to the tank and I never have to take them out of the bed.
I have 2 of the Wavian metal cans strapped standing up in the bed with a soft bed topper. I have sometimes traveled with them lying on their side. Never smelled gas at all in the covered top, winter or the hot SC summer. They were difficult to get for me and expensive around $85 each. But...
I also changed my aux. battery thru the wheel well. So much easier than thru the top. Just get new plastic rivets (3) and a few of those push in plastic pins from Amazon (5 or 6). Disconnect the big battery first.
Stock 2020 Rubicon with auto and 33" tires. I have an oil separator and an open breather cap on the oil fill. 1 hour commute to work (one way). I get a solid 20 according to the computer. It will improve a lot when you get about 18K miles. I do think the breather cap and oil separator help...
NO. DO NOT DO THIS. I have towed many miles both professionally and for recreation this does not sound very wise. Get the right tools for the job. None of us want to read about the guy that wiped out a school bus with his overloaded Jeep.
Just had my information cluster replaced due to failure. I think I remember an indication of what gear my auto trans was in. Is this my imagination or am I needing to reset something? Looking thru the owners manual now but not seeing anything. Anyone have any input? Thanks Brad. PS. those...
I must not have put this info in this post. The Jeep was at the dealer on October 18, 2022. They said the problem was that I need a new cluster. I have been waiting since then for a part. I really can't use the Jeep because there is no fuel gauge. I drive around with a 5 gallon can of gas...
It is January 28, 2023 and the jeep is still not fixed. Dealer and Jeep Cares just keep giving me new delivery dates for the part that come and go with no part delivered. But look what I found that solves all of my problems. Going to talk with them over the phone asap to verify a few things...
