  1. Bakflip Revolver X4 questions.

I’m looking for the same thing for my X4–actually taller for a canoe or kayak. I’m wondering if any towers with a flat bottom surface would work with T bolts in the channel. Should be easy enough to cut down the cross bar to get the right width. Agree on customer support for the X4–had an issue...
  2. Tube Doors recommendations?

I just got the new ones from Body Armor. Very heavy with beefy tubes. Lots of adjustment points to get a good fit. Much lower cost than most. Quadratec has them (under JL) but I got them for less from Vicious Off-road.
  3. 37’s on Max Tow with front level

I’d been looking for 35’s but I could not pass these up. I’m not going to do a lift for towing reasons. 35 is probably the right tire for me but I’m gonna mount these on my extra wheels and give it a go. I will look for some Rubi fenders. Thanks for the help.
  4. 37’s on Max Tow with front level

Very helpful—thanks! Did I read somewhere that our max tow fenders are two-piece...and that you can take the lower trim piece off the fender for more clearance? I may have dreamed that. Yeah—I lucked up on the tires. I thought they were $150 each but turned out it was for all four! About...
  5. Anyone Running 37’s on a Max Tow???

Wondering how this setup is doing for you. I’m about to put same tires on my max tow but on factory wheels. No lift but added Rubicon front springs and 3/4 inch spacer on front—got me about 1.5 inches up front. Left max tow springs on back. Do you think I will have any issues? Gonna swap back...
  6. 37’s on Max Tow with front level

Hoping someone can give me a definite answer based on experience. I added Rubicon front springs and a 3/4 space to front to raise it about 1.5 inches to get it level. Left max tow springs on back so no change there. I just picked up a slightly used set of Patagonia 37x12.5x17’s for a very good...
  7. Stock Jeep Support Group

I powder coated my wheels for less than the cost of buying one new wheel. Flat black “coal” color and very durable. I considered paint but didn’t feel that would hold up. New back lug nuts from Quadratec. You could even pick up another set of stock wheels dirt cheap to try it on—that’s what I...
  8. Stock Jeep Support Group

I have the BAK Revolver X4 bed cover and love it. Gives pretty much full access to the bed when rolled and would handle your snow.
  9. Stock Jeep Support Group

I think I am still stock—but I am tempted and need this support group. Realized I did not hate the wheels on my Sport S Max Tow—just the color. Had them powder coated for $260–world of difference Went with Falken 255/80r17 tires for weight and towing reasons—plus the max tow axles are wider so...
  10. Stock Jeep Support Group

I think the Falken 255/80r17’s are the PERFECT tire for a Max Tow that is actually used for towing.
  11. Body Armor Tube Doors

Wondering if anyone has the new Body Armor tube doors. I think they are new—showing as “new” on Quadratec. They are actually in the JL section on the website but says they work on JT. They look good—wondering about fit and finish.
  12. Stubby antenna recommendations

Tried a stubby but lost reception—may just be where I live. Cleaned and plasti dipped the OEM black. Holding up great—I’m gonna stick with this.
  13. Anyone developing an aftermarket soft top?

Agree. They will need to add some structure with surrounds and maybe a bar across the back between the roll bars. It can be done but it will be tricky. It may be ugly but I would live with that if it could be removed and stored—and keep most of the water out.
  14. If I add lift, do I have to also buy new tires?

I am interested in these tires and would love to see pictures. I like the narrower tire. I installed the Rubicon shocks and front springs along with 3/4 Daystar spacer up front. Leveled it perfectly and let me keep my Max Tow capability by keeping my rear springs. Have 255/80/17’s on now which...
  15. Anyone developing an aftermarket soft top?

I have a JL bikini that I have modified to work in the same way. Whatever is developed is going to have to incorporate door surrounds if it is gonna keep rain from pouring in. The Mastertop product from Quadratec worked so well on my JK. Almost watertight. Hoping we get something similar.
  16. Anyone developing an aftermarket soft top?

I need something I can take off and store on the truck—water “resistant”.
  17. Rank Underbody Armor Components by Importance

How would you rank importance of each skid plate component? Would you say oil pan #1? I have a leveled Max Tow on 33’s. No crazy rock crawling but occasional bumping over some rocks on moderate trails. Thanks for the input.
  18. My Gladiator is the most polarizing vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Ha! I used to get the baby poop comment about my Rescue Green JK! I guess the color depends upon the diet!
  19. My Gladiator is the most polarizing vehicle I’ve ever owned.

It is narrow—but I think they look good with the wider axles on the max tow. I’ve always liked taller versus wider. I’ve thought about 18 inch wheels—I read on here somewhere about a 35/10.5/18 tire someone is running. That sounded interesting. May check out your Bridgestones also—I like the...
  20. My Gladiator is the most polarizing vehicle I’ve ever owned.

I agree on the all seasons. I went with 255/80/17’s in a 10 ply Falken AT3 on my Max Tow. True 33 inches and a good looking, tough tire that I can tow with. Perfect tire if you need to maintain max towing capability, IMO.
