This was posted on instagram. I couldnāt find any other info on it. Iām digging the versatility and functionality of being more than a front facing light bar.
Added a few things:
Apex Autolynx
MetalCloak tie rod/drag link: ended up reinstalling my Bilstein dual stabilizer setup as the rock sport stabilizer allowed for too much bump steer
JCR half rack: scored for $200 on FB marketplace
Mopar performance rock rails: scored for $200 on fb marketplace...
Add me to the list of āweird squeaky noise when first driving after truck has been sitting.ā Mine seems to be coming from the front passenger wheel. I chalked it up to brake pads or some kind of moisture build up. It doesnāt bother me nearly as much as others in this thread, but I may try the...
I had the Teraflex geo brackets on my 2.5ā Clayton lift. I took them off at the beginning of summer to track down a noise I had in the front suspension (it ended up being a bad tie rod and drag link). I never put them back on, because of other issues (front UCA bracket was bent from over...
Things I would start with: Measure track bar to match Clayton's measurements, check torque on all suspension components. Clayton recommends 5-6 degrees caster. I cannot imagine 7 degrees would cause your issue. More than likely trackbar and/or drag link issues. Good luck!
The springs with the Clayton overland lifts are triple rated, meant to be loaded down. If youāre not planning on loading your bed with a rack, RTT, other gear etc the ride will be stiff. If youāre not Iād go with their ride right suspension or go with Metalcloak.
Between those two you listed, I'd go JCR. Better bang for you back with more mounting options for accessories. I'd find out what their load rating is for the rack as that is important.
I snagged the 270 awning and the Large Pioneer tent with extended rainfly for under $600. However, the next morning I had buyers remorse on the RTT so I called and canceled the order. I already have an iKamper so the purchase was strictly impulse haha. Plus, I did some research on the tent and...
I just did this install last week (metal cloak tie rod/drag link) what a PITA! My ball joint on the pitman arm was friction welded. Once that broke free, install was a breeze.
Side note: You're not using their rocksport stabilzer, but have you noticed an increase in bump steer? I had a...
Thanks for all the replies.
I took it to a shop down the street and they hit it with two pneumatic pickle forks simultaneously and that did the trick. Best $40 dollars Iāve ever spent!
So five hours later, I still cannot remove the drag link from the drivers side. I used a wrench and a mallet at first, then went for the ball joint separator tool (the tool failed when using an impact wrench). So Iām now at a loss. I read on the JL forums of someone with a similar experience and...
The inside of what? The truck bed? The 4 gallon only mounts from the middle of the basin. They used to have a different mounting option (like the 8 gallon) but itās discontinued now.
