IMO, it is only a matter of time until we wake up one morning to read that someone hacked into Sirius and stole the personal information of millions of Americans.
It is part of the SiriusXM Guardian “service.”
Good luck calling Sirius and getting them to disable it, though. Anyone who has interacted with SiriusXM knows how crummy its customer service is.
It was a pleasure letting the service expire after the 12-month free trial was up.
There are lots of online videos showing how to install them JL. The front splash guards are the same; I don’t know if the rear are.
I did not have to remove any tires, but it can get tight in there when drilling, screwing and riveting.
I read awhile ago that Toyota reportedly explored using diesel in hybrids.
Turns out, because the ICE motor plays mostly a supporting/generator role in a hybrid, diesel makes little difference in MPG. When they took into account the added cost and weight, diesel made little sense.
From what I read recently, 4Xe will be available at first only in Sahara and Rubicon levels; both will come very well equipped. I’m guessing leather, LEDs, 8.4” & Alpine Sound, Safety Group will be standard.
Sahara 4Xe will start at $47,000; Rubicon 4Xe will start at $51,000.
Someone figured...
The evidence is there for anyone who wants to see it.
The same long wheelbase that gives Gladiator greater highway stability and makes it better at towing than Wrangler, becomes a handicap on the trail.
It is what it is.
EcoDiesels have had more than their share of problems.
If you already have your truck set up the way you want it, and you are not towing or having any problems with it, I say keep your truck and enjoy it.
I used to watch his videos.
One day he put out a video on “camping solo:” he spent 25 non-stop minutes listing all the expensive, useless crap he hauled to the middle of nowhere I “needed” to be “alone.” After that, he traded his Wrangler for a Gladiator for a Power Wagon in the time it took...
Part numbers for the Mopar splash guards are
82215332AB (front) and 82215611 (rear).
The literature says front splash guards won’t fit Jeeps with rock rails.

If you want to modify and tow with it, I say get the Overland.
Having said that, based on everything I’ve read, the EcoDiesel is not all a bed of roses. The first few ones appear to have had an inordinate amount of issues. But, seeing that the number of complaints have quieted down, it’d seem...
That’s been my experience as well.
My relationship with my dealer has been “spotty”, to put it charitably. But the Service Manager that was causing all the pain and misery was fired and things appear to be back to normal.
I brought in my JL for its first free Jeep Wave oil change, Tazer and...
Nah. I am happy with my JL Sahara. It is more than 2/3 paid for, it’s only got 5,800 miles and, so far, it’s given me zero problems.
That doesn’t stop me from stealing ideas from you guys, though.
My armchair comments:
From everything I’ve read, sounds like Jeep got the Mojave suspension tuned just right. I’d hate to spend all that money and toss out Mojave’s best feature.
Jeepers hardly ever discuss the tradeoffs of getting bigger tires, perhaps from our excitement to add off-road...
