How do I gauge what is too much for the tires I have? What shouldn't I attempt to go into. I expect to lose some of the towing capacity, but how much would I be expecting to lose?
Sure.
This is just regular around town driving, A lot of stop and go but still I'm really surprised that I'm...
So the primary reason I bought this Jeep ( Sport S Max Tow) was to make it my fishing hauler. Got tired of stuffing coolers and rods into my little sports cars. I also got the max-tow package with the intention of (eventually) getting a small boat of my own.
1. But, it's a Jeep, it would be a...
Thanks, I will take this advice. As I’m not too sure about what the proper set ups are for off road applications, I was wondering if adding these steps that I received would hinder clearance/the trucks ability at all, and if they provide any benefit in terms of protection. Wondering if people...
Yeah, I don’t think what we have would be considered the “rip your bottom out” kind of terrain. The natural stuff is mud, swamp, gravel and sand. There’s a few recreational parks where I can go that has artificial rock piles to climb, but we don’t have mountains, hills, etc.
Hello all, so I’m new to the whole off-roading world. Not exactly sure what the do’s and donts are yet. I was looking for rock rails and my family purchased me some side steps for Xmas. Now, my question is, can I still go off roading if I put these on? Or are they going to just snap off? Is...
Can you all give me some advice on how I should approach off-roading here? I figure I would ask here, since our terrain is different than rocky stuff that people associate with offroading. I am new to Jeeps, trucks and off-roading entirely.
First question would be where do people commonly go...
Yeah I don’t think most rubi owners are buying for “status” there are a lot of other vehicles that scream “I cost 60k” that they could have gotten instead. The gladiator is my first Jeep, and I had no idea how expensive the rubis were until I was in the process of buying my gladiator. So, safe...
Like I said man, if you can manage to get more on the trade, all the power to you. I do think you’re overestimating the demand for your truck and underestimating it in other places. Florida is one of the top sellers for Trucks, behind Texas. Even if everyone in your neighborhood is driving...
Well, you seem to have already set your mind to what you’re going to get on a trade for that truck, so if your knowledge tells you you can get what you want, all the power to you.
FWIW though, I think dealers will see your truck as both older and expensive. Two factors that are going make it...
That's an expensive truck for something almost 9 years old. Private sale value is the most it will sell for. They probably anticipate its going to sit for a while (and depreciate more) before the sell it and account for that. That's even if they intend to sell it. They might just do the trade so...
Someone locally is selling their overland side steps, i was wondering if I should pick these up for my Sport S. I do plan to go some light/moderate off-roading with the truck (which I am completely new to), would the side steps provide any benefit? Or should I just get rock rails?
