I saw your post and it helped my decision. Thats funny!
Had 315’s on my JK and loved them. I was bummed they didnt and dont make 37’s. Oh well, 35’s are the biggest I want to go on my JT. Still need to tow.
Yesterday 11.3L/100km or 21.8mpg
today after a 4 hour trip with 4 35’s in the bed, wife and child 11.7L/100km or 21.1 mpg.
Stock 285 Falkens at3w. 1.5” front lift .75” rear lift , stubby mopar rubi bumper, AEV snorkel with AFE dryflow and Magnaflow crawler 2.5” on 87oct no tune.

I heard I got mine just in time from my dealer. So must be some truth to this. Interesting..... very popular mod so I’m curious what is happening or already happened. Maybe supply issue?
Replacing the stock 285/70 Falken AT3W for 35x12.5/17 Good Year Duratracs. 25% sale so I drove 4 hours to get them. Pumped to get them on this week. Only 4lbs heavier too. 63 vs. 67lb. Also surprising was the Duratracs are only .5” at most wider than the stock Falkens. About 2.25” taller...
20.1mpg at 2400ft elevation. Stock tune only catback and snorkel. Stock 33’s and 87 octane. I drive hills everyday. Up and down , so overall I’m impressed with the 3.6. 1.5” front and .75 rear lift and steel rubicon bumper with no front skid plate.
I dont disagree.
They have some R&D threads about intakes on the 3.6 too. Very good read and they explain how their original Mishimoto design actually made less power. Seems that the resonators serve a purpose

Mishimoto has a great write up on intakes for the JL and JT. Interesting and worth a read.

Yeah heard one at a local dealership. It was the techs Jeep. Not my cup of tea but decent tone at idle. Crawler system is well built but the sound isnt to be desired. My 3.8 jk had mbrp and had to change the muffler to a super turbo.
I worked with Chrysler for several years and got to speak with several Chrysler engineers as an SRT sales specialist. This what I learned in conversation during a SRT training day.
1. Noise pollution/nvh (not always)
2. emissions
3. Cost
4. Design and fitment
5. Falling back on noise is...
Just purchased the magnaflow rock crawler 2.5”. I will report back this week with more driving and break in. Its fairly quiet overall. AWE was my first choice but I tow so I needed something quieter for pulling long hills.
Im saving about $100 per tire and thats in canadian loonies. So about $500 plus tax savings for the set of 5. In stock where as ko2 (my other choice) are $80 more per tire currently with limited stock. I commute about 3-4 days a week but I will likely go back to my Firestone XTs for winter. Btw...
Whos got them and do you like them?
Found 315/70/17 set of 5 for 25% off. I dont need muds and these seem to be on the lighter side at 63lbs. My stock 285 falkens are 61lbs.
Curious
Curious about this option as well as the Mopar for towing. I have AEV snorkel so it needs to plumb into the lower box. Did it come with a silicone plug for the top hot air inlet?
