You may need one with a fuse.My Battery tender came with a 7.5 amp fuse in line to the battery.

The strut for the steel hood should not be used on the aluminum hood.The hood may fatigue over time.Id call Redline to verify.

I carry both or some combination of the Element,Halon,or Dry chem.The dry chem is used as a last resort.The dry chems are messy and cause more damage..Pricey but worth it to me.Small fire,element or Halon.Big fire dry chem.
