Your plan sounds good, I agree we don't need a whole lot more power and keeping the boost low will still give a smile and much less potential for engine problems. Some of the guys that had problems were pushing the tunes I think….Jack
Your system works ok other then you have two batteries to replace. The small hidden battery powers the electronics while the stop/ start is working so when Jeep starts up voltage is steady then they connect again . So for most part if you push the button on dash everytime you get in to...
That's the aux battery which powers the electronics when engine shuts off at a stop. A lot here , including me removed it and don't use the stop start . Search aux battery there are tons of threads on it, really brings out the opinions when one comes out. Glad it worked out fo rya!.....Jack
I’m sorry you used the word aerodynamics in describing a Jeep, any real Jeep has only one type of aerodynamics , that is how well your ball cap flies off with top or freedom panels off!….Jack
I don’t think the valley you are talking about would give very much visibility to drivers viewing you at an angle from the side , couple thoughts but I have had no coffee yet , first scratch the lights you have and hold up the OEM lights vertically aside of grill sort of where the cutout is...
Dave, I’m skidded up on about everything , even the exhaust loop on a gasser, plastic or metal bumper a hitch skid is the thing , I have a Warfab Sheridan which works great if tucks in tight to bumper and skid has a shackle attachment point. I have a habit of modifying everything I get and...
Randy it is a big problem that you are not having enough fun!
Like others said put it in four wheel drive in the dirt or grass and see if it works. Might shift hard when pulling the lever but that is normal from new for any of them. Try low range also , it is an eye opener how much power you...
Sorry Bill , just keep going! Losing our furry friends is always hard we have two rescues Rusty and Gracie that are awesome and our buddies and know when I have had a tough day at work…….Jack
My Dad had a few friends that bought a new car every year, Cadillacs, Corvettes , some foreign car I don’t remember . The Cadillac guy was a great guy , retired and getting the nicest Caddies. Hell I even know a guy on this forum who buys Jeeps on a whim , forget his name , Will, Phil, Hill...
My first Jeep, was also the first civilian Jeep , 1946 CJ2A, Buick dauntless V-6 ,Warn add on overdrive, Advance Adaptors headers and motor mounts. Float Trac 11x15 tires it was awesome in woods and scary on the road! . Got it in 1976 , had it for eight years , brother bought it had it for...
Yakima or any other system that uses rails permanently on roof and removeable cross bars that lock on are great. I have Yakima rails and removable round bars, two sets one with my awning on it and a bare bar set with boat loaders on it to load kayaks ,most of the time my cap is bare with...
I’m a raised white letter guy , I’m one of the few at work with raised white letters on my company truck, be careful of what you decide, I’m almost 69 and wheel more now then I even did with my 46 CJ2A, meeting up with others on this forum has been great, but raised white letters and...
Mojave has , hood, few pounds more in steel knuckles, couple pounds of frame bracing , heavier shocks beings they are duals, but savings could be no sway bar connect, no front locker. Both seem to have soft suspensions although I have Max Tow rear springs for a great setup…..Jack
Those numbers of towing…..I can perhaps see , but curb weight plus payload weight equals GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)
I don’t see the math working , and although I love my 21 Mojave and am pleased with power and gas mileage , things might be lining up for a jump , just waiting for a...
Bill, take the wife’s Jeep , it’s a hybrid and long trips you run on the 4-banger but who cares. Taking the plow off is more risk for your head area, not worth it.
God bless ya Bill……
