I was thinking just a retaining strap in case they blew out. The first install the corners were very stiff and are rock solid. About rolling the window up , I don't think it's even possible with the corners in. Maybe it was a later requirement because, you know , liability. Just in case.

I agree . Maybe not shorten but strip the plastic and remount the fog lights . I've already spent $4000 on upgrades in the two weeks I've had it. .Most of that was the premium soft top . Budget blown. Did you put a steel bumper on ?

Would sure make engine R&R easier ,not that I'm planning that on a new truck . On my old stuff it's remove hood, find someplace to store it where it won't get damaged then reinstall and line up the hinges . A pain .
