Yea I get that but why do so many members here complain about ESS when there's an easy fix ? That's why I said there should be a sticky . If you do a search for ESS there is a ton of posts . Mostly Tazer or just complaints. Hard to wade through.

You mean the warning or the ESS? I'm with you on the warning not so much on ESS .

I'd have to double check but what it is is the messages page where it always says " no messages ". You have to scroll by it to get where you want anyway .

The menu warning is only one of the pages . If you left it on any page such as speedometer that's what you'll see the next time you start your truck. You only see the warning if you actively scroll to another page . Jeez !

Only with ESS enabled. With this fix ESS is clearly disabled and the engine never shuts down.

But I've seen other posts that say it doesn't always disable it . Check it out after the weather changes. And I'm assuming it will. Ha !

Not sure what you mean. For some reason there are two plungers . One will warn you the hood is not latched the other disables the ESS and as far as I can tell that's all . I suppose you could add a switch to enable/ disable from the inside.
