I was looking through a junk drawer (for something else) and what did I find? Some pH strips! Don't remember ever getting them, but I'm sure at the time I thought "these might come in handy someday". Goes to show you that you should never throw anything away (contrary to what my wife says about...
Thinking that I won't likely go rock crawling (I couldn't bear to put a scratch in my baby), I added some side steps so my wife has an easier time getting in. Bonus, I can now wash the bird crap off the hard top.
The steps were cheap, $145 from Amazon Warehouse. I guess I only want to empty one...
Oh, I'm fine with the shooting of deer. They are just big rodents in my mind. Best would be a clean shot through the neck that would take out a couple of squirrels on the far side.
They liked me too much to upsell me, I think, because I talked a lot about deer and boar hunting with the manager. I'm a vegetarian, but I didn't tell him that.
I had my oil changed at Midas and they did a coolant pH check.
The coolant is too acidic with a pH of around 6.5. They said the coolant should be under warranty (2022 Gladiator Rubicon). Is that true? I never heard of fluids being under warranty.
Yep, it's done, but I chickened out on the DIY, at least 99% of it. Seems the shop neglected to plug back in the front locker cable. Didn't notice the locker fault icon until I was almost home. So I crawled under and plugged the wayward plug into its plugging place. I must have done it right...
Based on what I'm seeing underneatch, I'm pretty sure this is the kit that was installed:

So, I'm guessing I'll need shocks, front track bar, and front/back sway bar links.
I tried to find this shock on the RC website, but I couldn't find a matching part number. Some of their shocks are ok for stock height.
Also, do I have a lift kit or a leveling kit. I'm new to this.
