Hi. Couple questions to the forum (please and thank you):
1) Is there still a stop sale on manuals, as of October 1, 2023?
2) On the assumption that a used manual JT will have a lower resale price than an automatic due to the clutch issue (more than just because itās a lower cost option), does...
Does narrow vs wide affect the need for regear? Like, is it easier to get a narrow or wider tire rolling, or same? I understand the contact patch and weight per inch, just donāt know enough about gears.
I recently had the chance to sit in the backseat of the 2023 Ridgeline and it was an instant ānopeā for me, size wise. Much smaller feel than I wouldāve thought; good for local trips only. Iām 5ā11ā, 185lbs. For me, regardless of its looks or capabilities or price etc., that wouldāve been a...
Iām in the expensive northeast but am seeing used Rivian R1T for low $70s. Hereās a link to one with 6,000 miles for $72,000. When you compare what you get vs a Gladiator (400 miles all electric, towing of 11,000 pounds, bigger tires and higher clearance, way fancier inside, quiet cab, etc.)...
Thanks for the pictures. Iāve got a nearly 4 year old and a 1.5 year old, and a finger on the bikini Gladiator trigger. Now I just waste my mornings reading things like this, several months early.
Yes and no. Only the X version of the others but itās an option on the Sport S and Willys, per the guide. So for some reason a Sport S can have them but not a Rubicon.
Good point, even though body colored top and fenders are superior ;-) (jk jk jk)
I'm wondering if it'll play out as shown in these guides, because it does seem pretty anti-customer.
Starting with 2024...
If you want the 4.10 gears, you have to get base Sport Max Tow, Rubicon / Rubicon X, or Mojave / Mojave X; not available on Sport S or Willys.
If you want body colored fender flares, they are not available on the base Sport (w/ Max Tow or otherwise), only the Sport S...
I started on the last page of this thread and saw your reverse transformation: 37s to 35s to 33s. You definitely ended up where the Jeep looks best! Thanks for the before & after pics, very helpful.
Iāve been in āgonna buy a Gladiatorā land for a couple months now, and after the 24 āunveilā looked at some other options and was wide eyed at how much more affordable everything else was by comparison. I knew this, and know about taking doors and tops off plus out of the box capability and...
I just came across Alpha Electric Vehicles out of California and am in love with their styling. They have a few versions each of a coupe, sedan / wagon, suv, and truck. Their styling is best described as blending an old AMC Eagle, Marty McFlyās pickup from back to the future, a 1980s Lancia...
By the way, the lower Latch systems are only rated for a total /combined weight (seat + child) of 65 pounds. Jeepās may be different but thatās generally the standard. Seatbelt attachment method is much higher.
Yep. Alternatively, if you can wait a bit for the truck, lease a ā23 Wrangler 4xe for about $12k off, then buy it out for full tax credit less early term fee, and trade it in for a ā23 Gladiator. Jeep arbitrage!
Now that the Gladiator ārevealā (boo) is behind us, letās check-in on the potential UAW strike, authorized for tomorrow, Thursday 9/14 (contracts expire at midnight tonight). So far, as of Wednesday morning, no agreements have been made and theyāre planning to strike all three makers using...
