  2. '24 Mojave 37" Tires, Stock 4.10 Gears

I’m on 37’s with 4.10. It’s fine so far. Will likely regear in a year or so, but none of my trips until then will need it. Be sure to update the computer to get the shift points updated. s
  3. Clover - Rubicon Built for Weekend Adventures and Daily Driver

Haha. Not at all. Will save it in case there is a use for kids sleepovers at home or maybe to throw in a ground tent with our other camping air pads over. I’ll see if I can get use out of it. Maybe some egg foam as a topper for in a ground tent. Only challenge will be transporting it for that...

Today, I swapped out the stock mattress in the Topoak Galaxy Pro RTT for a Hest Dually Long mattress. I initially tried to keep the original in there for a super pillow top, but alas, math won and I pulled the original out. šŸ˜‚ Of note: be sure to air out your tent after big rains even if you...

Molle panels for the bed installed today and got some of the next round of gear prepped for when I’m back from a golf weekend in San Diego. Then I’ll wire up the Bluetti Charger 2 and solar panel so the power station can do its thing and get that fridge nice and cool. Also put in some seat covers.

A small step for man, a giant step for a man on 37’s. This will have many uses to include holding the diesel heater on cold nights.
  8. Clover - Rubicon Built for Weekend Adventures and Daily Driver

Thank you! I’m at the phase I need to get on some trips to find out what else I’ll need versus what I’d want. Then to sort my old camping gear and see what works in this style of travel. Memorial Day weekend plans already coming together, but I may try to pop out sooner and find some fun.

Got the AEV 2ā€ Spacer Lift with Geometry Correction Brackets installed. Holy cow. Feels like stock and the change from the 37s and no lift to this is massive. The truck just feels like it should now. I can only imagine how impressive an expensive suspension lift would feel. I’ll run it like...

Next, I installed the Amazon overhead molle rack to support the Starlink Mini, handheld radio, flashlight, and whatever else I decide to store with that system. Pretty straight forward install and good videos on YouTube for reference. Bolts on the outside come with the kit and the Jeep has...

Today was a big day for Clover. What started as a rainy morning opened up just a little to allow for some garage and driveway building of the OVS Expedition Cap and Topoak Galaxy Pro rooftop tent. Borrow one of the boards from the tent shipping box to make a floor to work on to save my knees...

  14. Clover - Rubicon Built for Weekend Adventures and Daily Driver

A few weeks ago I finally was able to finally buy a Gladiator after a few months agonizing and researching trims and comparing it against other trucks for my use case. Luckily my budget increased a little each month and I snagged this 2023 in Wisconsin for $35,000 before TTL and doc being...
  15. Notes on the AEV spacer lift.

Got it. I’m going into a 37/12.5/17, so wanting to be sure I clear that lower control arm or determine if I need to get an aftermarket control arm to account for this. Looking at 4.5 backspacing with -12 offset as a start point.
  16. Notes on the AEV spacer lift.

What offset is needed for this spacer lift on a rubicon with stock suspension?
  17. Evolution.... where did you start? Or is the Gladiator your first Jeep?

Had a YJ in college and just loved that truck. It only had a 4 banger, but would go anywhere I asked at its own pace. Slow on the highway, but would rev and rip in the powdery snows of Wisconsin. Sold it when I moved into a city and couldn’t shake the urge to get one again at this phase in life...
  18. 35's vs 37's?

Just blew $4k on a cap and rooftop tent. Gonna have to wait another paycheck or two for that trip. Haha. Bought a newer jeep than expected and blew up the build budget right away, so it’s a slower road. Will get to camping right away and then spend the year building it for trips out west for...
