I tried it with out the key farb. It wouldn't do anything with out the farb. But when I got the farb and put if on acc , the battery gauge read 12.7 and stayed there. Is that a good sign ?
If I remember right, napa is not leather. It's like the hide of the great Nauga. When I managed a Caddy dealership , the lower priced CTS and others had a leatheret interior. it was just leather looking vinyl . Even the big Caddies just had real leather in the seat center, not on the bolster or...
Thanks all, I'll try it tonight without the key fob near. I'm getting my first oil and filter change this Saturday before I leave for the beach. I'm getting it changed at 2k, then 5 k every time after that. I'm learning a lot from this forum and its members.
Yes I did do that, it read 12.7 . Is that good ? Like I said I'm having no problems, I'm just a worry warth. You know how cars and trucks are, they break down at very bad times.
I posted on this also. This weekend I traveled for 2 hrs to the beach , the lowest the gauge read was 14.2. when I got there , the next morning I drove for 45 min, gauge read 1
14,5, Stopped for coffee, restarted and gauge read 14 .1 . The next day 2 hr drive home and gauge went between 14.5...
I took my glad on the beach yesterday, lit the air ot to 16# psi. Later when I came off the ebach and refilled tire psi back up to 36 psi per tire. My gauge and it's a good gauge read 36 psi. After driving awhile pts monitpr read three tires with 38Psi, one at 37 psi. Then today coming back...
I also went over my Glad when I took delivery. I couldn't find any thing wrong. No paint blems, interior was great. Everything was in great shape. I only worry about the batteries , they had the truck for 3 months before I bought it.
He will find out that the pan was better than the fire. Wait till he gets a nice G.M. engine, maybe turbo charged, also a nice 10 speed junk G.M. auto trany.Loads of problems with both.
Old news, I know people that worked at a G.M. plant, they were high all the time, pot, whisky. They even took in outside detail work. They just didn't check the production units out. Now some are retired and still high.
Back then I was not the one ordering for the dealers. Other than inventory control ,I never had to touch a computer. I had a secretary to do computer things. I really didn't learn computers till the end of the 1990s. I'm still not all that savey about them. But I did take very good care of my...
I worked for G.M. then. Back in 1983 I was hired to set up a new Ford dealership by the new owner that I knew. We did order at that time on a computer. I went back to the G.M. dealership I worked for in 1985 and they went computer. That dealer wasn't a D & D store. We could get what we wanted...
Don't have doubts. In the 70's and 80's orders were written , and sent to the manufacturer. Units that were getting built for a dealer customer went right in to be built. We received some units in as little as 6 weeks. Some express orders, we could see in 4 weeks. All depended on what and where...
I have not used mine yet, but when the salesman put it down and up a couple of times, he did it with one hand. He also said to use the two velcro straps to hold it down. He said driving at higher speeds and bumps is not good for the top without the straps. I'll find out this weekend coming.
