OP, Three years is horse crap. 7 years is a mythical number developed by those that sell tires, not by any manufacturer of RV tires. Not unlike the 3,000 mile oil change myth. Both Goodyear and Michelin, two of the most common tires on new RV's, have a must swap policy of 10 years. They to...
I think looking at the Freedom Top(s) is a good idea. If the water comes down after sitting, obviously it is pooling somewhere. My first suspect is the channel the tops fit into along the rear seals and edges. There are a couple points where the drains for this channel can get clogged allowing...
I bought my Willys used. The tires are off road, mud tires. They look great, and the ride is not bad. But those knobbies make a lot of noise. I swapped mine for road tires and wow what a difference. First time I ever hear the engine or wind noise while driving.
many cars have this feature/problem. When my wife’s Mini locks her car so does the filler door I guess to keep people from stealing gas. However if something fails, you have to go through the trunk to open it.
I have no issue with people placing a duck in the door handle. I have no issue with people displaying all the ducks they've been given. What gets me are those that have obviously purchased a bag of ducks and display them. I've seen too many stock jeeps with a gazillion ducks. Cheapens they whole...
FWIW: my 2020 Glad hard top (stock) full tank, without humans weighed in at 4880lbs. Just under the max tow capacity of my motorhome. The base weight of a 4Xe (either model) exceeds the 5k limit.
I have boxes and boxes of CD’s and DVD’s in storage. IMO dead technology, especially in mobile environments. Vinyl is having a resurgence as the sound quality is so much better than CD or Digital. Vinyl in a car was never a good idea.
Finished installing Freedom Top Flip Top on my '21 Gladiator. No more leaving Freedom Tops behind, No more finding a place to store them while on the road. There is an option to just use the 3M glue, but you will want to bolt it to the roof using the supplied bolts. the bolts are not visible...
That looks like a Roadmaster base plate. I have one. The other pieces looks more like a brake away device used incase the toad brakes away from the RV.
Be careful if you decide to remove the base plate as they have to remove some bracing parts to install. Perhaps the PO kept them.
Another way...
As others have said, I've never had a vehicle NOT reset the cruise control when I turn the vehicle off and back on. This includes a chevy or two. Cars, trucks, motorhomes have all turned the cruise off.
There have been times I wished it would retain the on status and remember the set speed...
Should I live until my current Glad rolls over from old age and the only option is a PHEV or full on EV maybe I’ll consider one. They’re too heavy tow tow behind my motorhome.
if you want real numbers load it up with all the people, toys, tools, full tank of gas, and go get it weighed. Don’t forget to add hitch weight if you plan on towing something. Takes just a few minutes and can be money well spent.
Not a Rubicon but my stock ‘21 Willlys with full tank of gas, and the hard folding bed cover weighs in at 4,880 which is just under the max towing numbers for my motorhome. I don’t have much allowance for toys.
