I finally got a chance to weigh my Gladiator Rubicon and it is heavy ! The weight with me in it was 5,780 pounds. I knew that as equipped with various modifications/accessories it would be pretty heavy but wow! All of that stuff adds up. I was in it so subtract 300 pounds, so 5570 with 1/4 tank of fuel. Any idea of empty weight of stock loaded Rubicon? See attached picture for reference.

The door plate in the drivers door should state what the Curb Weight is…

FWIW, mine scaled in at 6860.

Mine only has GVWR of 6250 and cargo/occupants not to exceed 1185. Subtract the the two for 5065 as baseline would be close. So the topper and various modifications/add ones like 415lbs. That's kind of what I figured anyway. Thanks

Not a Rubicon but my stock ‘21 Willlys with full tank of gas, and the hard folding bed cover weighs in at 4,880 which is just under the max towing numbers for my motorhome. I don’t have much allowance for toys.

I honestly don’t know what my 2024 weighs (Off the top of my head) but…according to the curb weight, the JT weighs more than my previously owned truck (2016 GMC Canyon).

I’m not surprised……I mean, the amount of ’goodies’ Jeep adds just for utility & offroad purposes - adds a lot of extra weight.

That extra weight helps with towing and stability. When your tow vehicle weighs less than what you’re towing, it can get a little hairy. However, it stiinks for gas mileage (if that’s your concern)

if you want real numbers load it up with all the people, toys, tools, full tank of gas, and go get it weighed. Don’t forget to add hitch weight if you plan on towing something. Takes just a few minutes and can be money well spent.

My 2022 Overland weighs alittle under 5000 lbs when I got weighed at the rock yard. After seeing the different weights on these I can see why some people complain about power and gas mileage with the 3.6.

I was just curious what everyone else was seeing. These Jeep/Trucks are well made and that's why they are heavy. I was curious about the weight added by modifications and accessories. Also because and there is an overland trip in the future in Tn,Ga and NC. I am actually a fan of the 3.6 engine with the only complaint being the rpm range that the torque is produced. I am on 37's and my combined mpg is 19.4 !

Weighed my base sport last year at 5100lbs with me in it, full tank of gas.
I have a few mods like aftermarket front bumper, winch, bigger wheels & tires, tonneau cover etc...

About 5300 or so, added a winch since this scaling.

Full of fuel, has my tow straps, hitch, general stuff in it.

My rig is a Freedom max tow, has steel Rubi bumpers, rails, hard top.
