Sorta like getting zero percent for 3 years. I'll take it. I hope people don't hate on me for this like they did when I cash for clunkered my 1990 Ford Explorer. Great vehicle btw.
Get in and go. Drive easy till its warmed up. But here in East NC USA it really doesn't get that cold often. When it gets into the low teens, I tend to call in and sit by the fire with a coffee n bourbon.
I've hit 17 deer since 1996 (I don't even stop anymore). Seen 2 people hit deer. Can't imagine a moose! You are indeed fortunate not to have been injured or even killed.

I owned 2 of the original square body Dakotas. An '89 and a '95 with the 318.
Delightfully unsophisticated. My 89 had 316k on the throttle body v6 when I sold it.
Same with my 2015 2500 HD. Drives me crazy. But when you actually do it; it snaps apart and isn't really that bad. I do yearn for the old days however.
I actually shopped Kernersville when I was looking to buy. The jeep i was after that they were getting actually sold before they stocked it. I took the add to my local jeep dealer and asked them if they would meet that price on an identical jeep they had and they refused!
