@KurtP. If your staying with 2”, get the one without the drag link. You don’t need it. Adjustable CA...you really don’t need it at that height. Keep it minimal.
Since your keeping your shocks, I would get drop brackets. It will be more stable on the whoops and jumps as opposed to adjustable...
One lift is 3”, the other is 5”.
seems like your not settled on the actual height you want to with.
At over 5”, you’ll need a new driveshaft since the shocks will probably be over 28” extended. JL/JT can get away without steering upgrades at 3.5” unlike its predecessors.
You’ll also need...
@RSK I like them too, and they are bed liner coated which is a plus since we use them as a step. Good thing I have PS rock skins because my family tends to rub their shoes on the skins when getting in.
I have 37’s and 4.10 gearing on my JT. It’s acceptable for my needs and i get 7th and 8th overdrive gears on highway speeds. Like any Jeep, all jeeps are different based on mods, weight, and locality.
I prefer the drive compared to stock especially when my Jeep is weighed down as my setup is...
@jtimbrook i like it. It really looks good. The width looks very attractive with your setup.
did you have to splice The wires or is it plug and play? Is there anything else you need/recommend?
Even though I had RR XHD wheels and they held up great, I’m also concerned about quality. It does state that it’s made in the states, however, some “made in the USA” aftermarket parts make overseas parts look good.
My main concern will be fitment and quality of welds.
Anyone have experience with this?
it states made in the USA, satin black finish, and 5 year warranty (I’m sure it’s just structural not finish). Priced nicely at 329.99 from a vendor and looks good too.
I visited at least 5 dealers and all had dealer installed BS. They stated that it was already installed and would not budge on price. They even stated that ALL dealers do it. They will eventually sell it to someone that really wants it. I drove 2 hours to get my Jeep with no dealer installed items.
For my needs, I prefer aftermarket metal fenders that have inner bracing as the sheet metal is very thin (I didn’t even use much force when drilling my PS rocker skin and the sheet metal look like it was about to warp). If Motobilt might consider adding inner bracing, I might consider, otherwise...
Comfort and performance will ultimately depend on lift/ components. Adding dedicated dynamic load weight will also significantly alter comfort and performance. Have a drive by yourself, then have a drive with an additional 4 adults and add weight to the bed. Lifts are usually higher than...
Update... the company sent me out a replacement for the small cubby but it got stolen upon arrival. The only time no one was home since my wife was giving birth so it was last in my mind.
I did manage to order a mopar replacement and received it last week.
The mopar is slightly deeper and has...
