@JAVIERGONZO it’s on my list to visit, but I’m already working that weekend. A trip to Rauch Creek would have to be 3 day min. for me - it’s an 8 hour drive from Charlotte. Keep me posted for a future trip!

I used to drive up to Winston to visit friends regularly, and head up that way for fly fishing occasionally. It’s an easy drive, about an hour to CLT.

Uwharrie National Forest is about 1 hour from me. I live in Matthews, NC (east of Charlotte). Lots of cool trails. My 7 year old son has a blast when we go.

I’ve been stuck for 3 hours with my son because no one had a hilift. First thing I bought before going out on the trail again. A 48” with the bed side mounting bracket on unistrut works great and is easy to access.

Looking good! My son and I spent the day with a random couple we met at the Outpost. Had fun in the mud since it rained overnight. We saw lots of other Gladiators on the trail.

I have not been, but I’ve seen some photos of Prentice Cooper State Forest. Looks like it is close to Whitwell. It’s a 6.5 hour drive from Charlotte, NC or else I would check it out, too.
