I donāt have the rails, yet. When I had the bed sprayed they said they would tap the holes - but they didnāt. So I got a set of metric drill taps at Northern Tool for $25. I also purchased (12) 6mm stainless caphead screws at Home Dept. probably $1.50 each. They are available in different...
Started a Note pad on my phone with parts I like with prices, Ideas for the future, etc. On another list I track my overtime to give me a budget so Iām not cutting into savings or bills⦠I guess that plan hasnāt quite worked out yet, but itās the idea that counts, right? ?
I guess Iāll be skipping the rack then. I still have the Softopper from my Dodge Dakota (not the truck though). It was really nice to put it on when needed and keep it stored the rest of the time.
Iāll be selling the old softopper to help pay for the new one.

I have a soft top, so throwing it back for a short ride after work is quick. On the weekends if I take the doors or top off Iāll leave it overnight, but it lives in the carport. I have a company truck as my daily ride.
I was advised to drive it in 4H on the way home - about an hour on state roads. There was a chirping sound like crickets. No noticeable vibration. I kept the speed to 45 MPH.
My son and I got turtled on this shark fin rock last weekend. Dented the muffler, bent skid a plate, and knocked weights off the rear drive shaft. It took 3 hours and a lot of help from passersby to get us off that rock!
So, as a noobie JT owner (and first off-road vehicle), I am wondering...
