Anything A/T with the 3PMSF rating in the 285/70/17 would probably work well and handle snow that you get in the midwest well too. I just ordered a set of Nokian Outpost nAT I'm about to put on.
Supposedly the 5100s are stiffer than the Eibachs. I've been happy with the Eibachs so far. I do in general prefer a more controlled ride and they're way way better than the Fox Rubicon shocks in that aspect. I don't find them overly harsh.
I'm considering upgrading some steering components (tie rod, drag link, track bar) at the same time I replace the ball joints on my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. I'm finding that many of the options do not work with stock wheel back spacing, or are designed for a 2+" lift.
Does anyone have guidance...
You need to get those ears checked then because you took away the literal opposite meaning of the entire video than the video actually says :CWL: which is actually impressive
what are you actually looking for when you say you want something more "aggressive"? Looks, offroad performance? Where offroad do the KO2s or Falken's lack?
Strange, I've had mine for at least 3 years with no visible red rust. Granted, I'm in the high desert but they do see a fair share of snow and mag-chloride.
They're zinc coated, not stainless
I wonder if it's the ride height that's the issue? I think the Sport sits about 1" lower than the Rubicon which will put the shock at 1" deeper into it's travel at ride height.
Not to mention, there's the Venturous Tops product, also made in US, that's lighter and has a similar roof payload, for less $ and less leadtime...really took the wind out of the sails for GFC for me.
