I just pulled the same trailer from TX to CO and narrowly missed 3 snow storms in between. I am not envious of that photo, that would not be a fun tow!
There's differing levels of traction law in CO. Commercial vehicle chain law gets enacted fairly often, but Passenger Chain Law (which is different than Passenger Traction Law which is satisfied by M/S tires and 4x4) does get enacted a couple times per year when it's really gnarly.
I've got one...
Wild trip. I didn't know that there was so much high country in China. I've been up to 14kft here in Colorado multiple times, and it is no joke up there.
I also recognize some buildings in Chongqing from my visit to CIMA in September :)
I need some install advice for the Airlift bags. I attempted this in my driveway today at full droop and could get the top of the bag squeezed into the coil, but then the bag was too wide to “turn the corner” to get the bottom in. Any tips? I think I’ll try disconnecting the shocks next, but I...
Not sure about the Sport wheels, but the Rubicon 17x7.5 wheels weigh roughly 23lb each. Really hard to beat with an aftermarket wheel, especially any wheel that is 8" wide.
I have the Eibach shocks and am very happy with them a couple years later. Firmed it up but not overly harsh on big hits and the price was right. There’s a thread on them around here somewhere.
Got any updates on how you like it? I was set on a GFC topper till I found this one with the new fiberglass process. Similar capacity and saves a grand…
You need to reprogram the tire size for the shift points to adjust.
I run 35x11.50x17s all over CO and don't feel the need to regear and see 8th often on even up at attitude.
1) How was the tent stored?
2) There are several intermediate options between storing outside and building a whole garage. Even a carport or shed to keep the water off would probably work.
yeah I'm guessing homie would not be amicable to debate over the measurement accuracy of his foot steps. There is no way that would hold up in court if you chose that route. Might be worth the $ spent on marker lights to not have that conversation again, but at 78" you are in no way required to...
That's pretty slick.
What steered you away from a tailgate pad or tray rack? I use a tray rack currently, but have also built my own bed-height cross bars to mount the trays too for a little more clearance and stability when on rough roads/camping.
