I kept the stock rubicon one on. Was fine with stock tires and even with the 40’s until they hit 5k miles. I went with the king shocks jt spec stabilizer. Huge difference!
stock axles until I break it. so far so good 15k miles.
only steering mod is king spec jt steering stabilizer. Expensive but worth every penny over stock.
4.5 evo overland stage 4 coil lift with spec king remotes here. Clears 40” patagonias measuring 39.75” with factory bumper. Think I could clear 42’s with bumper ends removed.
Very happy.
Thank you captain obvious. You didn’t ask for the ideal gears but what we were running.?
I’m about 15k miles in with this setup. I wanted to try it before changing. Although not ideal, definitely doable for mild wheeling and my driving. Just not sure I want to change at this point or just wait...
Do it!
Size envy is real! Do it now while you can. You’ll feel better about yourself and it’ll save you money in the long run.
1 inch isn’t going to be a big enough difference performance wise to notice but 1 inch smaller you will see everyday you walk by it.
i do to. Works great from the wall but terrible at sync. Let me correct that statement. It will only work on my wife’s phone but not a second so it sucks for me.
My advice is similar except my wife was spotting for parking the RV.
i have since perfected the process.
if using a gps (very helpful for time), 10 minutes prior to your arrival destination say something bad about her mother or what she is wearing. She will be good and pissed within the ten...
Squirrelly as hell but the gladiator is on 40’s and the jk has 2.5in lift with 34’s.
both are set up to be flat towed. I use a blue ox supplemental brake. Jk weighs 4400lbs.
This was done because the lil blackjeepjk had a stuck thermostat/broken fan and I wanted to pull it home to work on it in...
People are assholes. Apply it to whichever side you see fit in this post and life in general.
The funniest thing I see is the OP is at 42 posts now. At least 40 from this thread!
?
In 2020 at purchase my plan was was to use it to tow my boat as the 2 dr jk was a little too lite.
Wind the clock forward 2yrs, it tows boat, daily driver, lifted with 40’s, trails, and toad behind motor home.
I love to drive it regardless if there is a better option or how practical it is!
I have 2 things going for this.
1- deer in the south are much smaller than the northern counterparts.
2-I lifted high enough to try to save the windshield entries. Most should tend to go underneath.
I don’t think there is a procedure. I tried resetting with flash cal to no avail. I kept changing min/max trying to nail it down, nothing. Then 2 weeks later went off. No trouble since until my 2nd tire rotation yesterday. Now back on again.
I think I have the exact same lift/shocks set up as you. Evo 4.5 and kings.
your picture of spring bow was exactly how mine was back against the shock.
