I have a gasser Overland (ordered 5/19, built 6/19, delivered 7/19) that I tow a travel trailer with...like you, mostly relatively flat east coast. My trailer is 27', ~5,100 lbs with all we want or need, and my Overland handles it very nicely. Good WDH set up and electronic braking system. Yeah...
My stone stock Overland (ordered 5/19, built 6/19, delivered 7/19) gets 21 bopping around in the summer (20 in the winter) and I just took a trip from home to the Raleigh, NC area and back and averaged 26.4 MPG (calculated fill to fill). The best I have seen was 27.6 MPG (again calculated fill...
I've used my Overland's pick-em-up bed for what's it's supposed to be used for.
I've hauled at least 1,800 lbs of hardwood flooring home in it (with another 1,600 on a utility trailer at the same time...handled it like a champ), brought home 8 or 9 pallets to make a compost bin, brought home...
I don't.
Around 15 April, I put in my BestTop SunRunner, put the Freedom Panels in the bag and hang them up in the garage until around mid-October when I switch back. Then the bag is neatly rolled up and put on a shelf in the garage until spring.
Not too shabby
A couple of weeks ago I went from S.E. PA to Raleigh, NC and back and averaged 26.2 MPG (calculated fill to fill) in my stone stock '20 Overland (ordered 5/19, built 6/19, delivered 7/19).
There's gotta be something loose in the front end that's allowing any vibrations to get multiplied into the dreaded Death Wobble.
I had a '96 Grand Cherokee Laredo that I put a 3" Rusty's lift on, then took it to get aligned. Left the alignment shop which aligned it to factory specs, hit a...
Whelp...it be dat time o' de year...
Replaced my Freedom panels with my BestTop Sunrider top.
And, for the first time, I actually got the Freedom panels into their bag correctly on the FIRST try :rock::rock:
It's usually like trying to insert a USB drive...you know, gotta turn it around...
NIce. MIne's similar but I don't have the rear two bunks...don't need them as it's just me and the Bride. Also, my dinette side out is big enough I can stretch out on it and not hit either end (I'm 5' 10") and my fridge is on the other side just in front of the bathroom which goes across the...
I did mine after the first 1,000 miles just to get all the metal flashings that wore off during the break in out...not only the oil but the filter too.
Probably not all that necessary but, better safe than sorry.
I don't have any cameras actually installed.
My trailer also has the capacity for a Ferrion but I don't have it.
I did purchase a Blue Tooth camera with a magnetic mount to place it on the rear bumper of my trailer, and I was going to use an older cell phone I kept as the screen for it but...
I got lucky with my dealer setting up my BlueOX system. They absolutely nailed it.
When I'm towing...no faster than 65 MPH, that's 7th gear at around 2,100 RPMs, and I shift manually all the time whilst towing, and get 12-13 MPG...when I get passed (like I'm standing still) by a...
I see you work for Weyerhauser there in NC. My cousin retired from their facility in Grayling, MI area a few years ago. She was one of the Safety Managers at their facility there.
I have the straps from Thorne Engineering and the JK trailer mirrors I got on Amazon. I have zero issues with the straps. Easy to put on, and they stay as tight as I make them when I put them on.
Mine, ordered 5/19, built 6/19, took delivery 7/19.
Y'all puttin' some serious miles on your trucks. I'm just over 30K with mine ? ? ? :):):):):)
I keep close tabs on maintenance and, I also tow a 27' travel trailer with her, plus the usual pick-em-up truck kinda schtuffola.
Then again, if I...
I tried this initially and while the bulbs were a 'little' brighter, the high beams didn't work at all. Plus, there's that little diffuser in front of the bulb that looks like a Jeep grill that hinders the light a bit.
I ended up going with full LED set up found on Amazon for around $245 (it's...
I'd go for the 600 lb WDH. A little overkill never hurt anything...I have the BlueOx WDH system. Works really well with my 27', 5,100 lb with all we want or need, and around a 520 lb tongue weight (estimated based on factory stated 420 lb tongue weight and all the stuff I have in the front pass...
