  1. Towing issue with a 2024 Rubicon

Are you shifting manually or just letting the auto trans (try to) do it's thing? I tow a 27', 5,100 lb (with all we want or need) travel trailer (2021 Vantage Sonic SN220VRB) with my Overland (ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19) and, shift totally manually. My up shifts are between 2,000 and 2,500...
  2. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Whelp...that time of year again... Swapped out my BestTop SunRider top for the Freedom panels for the winter. C'mon mid-late April when I can put the SunRider top back in.
  3. You know about those missing 10mm sockets?

Then there was the old mechanic who was finally able to retire after paying off Snap-on Tools for his 10mm socket 🤔 🤔 🤔 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
  4. You know about those missing 10mm sockets?

I do know where one of my 10mm sockets ended up...INSIDE the frame rail of my '96 Grand Cherokee Laredo (I-6)...I was putting in a 3" lift at the time, and the socket slipped off the drive as I was pulling it out from an opening in the frame that had a bolt that needed to be removed...it rattled...
  5. Show us what camper / trailer / RV you're towing with your JT

Yup. The only engine offered at the time I got her, and currently offered. I shift manually when towing. Up-shifts are between 2,500 and 3K RPMs. I don't cruise faster than 65 MPH and that's in 7th at around 2,100 RPMs. When I hit a grade, it's usually a drop to 6th at around 2,500 RPMs until...
  6. Show us what camper / trailer / RV you're towing with your JT

None. Stone stock. Normal driving I use regular gas. Towing, I use mid grade (89 octane) for just a little more bang for the buck. A good weight distribution hitch (WDH) handles any rear end sag. I measured from the bottom of the hitch receiver to the ground then hooked up my trailer (~500 lb...
  7. Towing a camper! Rear suspension beefed up?

I tow a 27', 5,100 lb (with all we want or need) travel trailer and, the tongue weight is approximately 500 lbs. I tow with a stone stock Overland (ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19) with the tow package. As far as rear sag, I really don't have any to speak of. I did measure the hitch receiver to...
  8. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

So, evaluation of the TPMS I purchased... Works as advertised. It monitored tie pressure all the while we were driving. I had it in the trailer as I was hitching up to allow it to fully communicate with the sensors then moved it onto the dash of my Overland. Distance was not an issue. My...
  9. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

Fight nice, children      I didn't start this thread to start a flame war. It was more to be an informational thread about TPMS for our trailers (which I didn't know one could even get a system like this until I saw them at my local RV stealership) and found what...
  10. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

This is the EXACT reason I got the system that I got so that if something goes awry, I'll know about it before either having a serious accident or, causing one myself by not being able to respond fast enough to the issue. We cannot see what's going on with our trailer tires so to have a...
  11. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

I did read the specs to make sure that this unit had the range from the trailer tires to my dash and it does have an audio alarm. Found this out when I installed them and one of the four tires was inflated way more than the other three so, I removed the sensor and let some air out until the...
  12. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

Yeah, the FIRST thing I did when I got back from that trip this summer was to swap out those cheapo Chinese tires for Goodyear trailer tires...made right here in the USA. But, still, a tire can still blow even if it's a 'good' quality tire so it's better to have a little extra insurance to see...
  13. Well, we have TPMS for our Gladiators so, what about the trailer?

After experiencing that blowout last July on my travel trailer, and the only way I knew about it was a good Samaritan beeped his horn next to me (frantically) and, let me know I had a blow out. Otherwise, I would have never known about it until something catastrophic happened 😲 😲 😲 So I was at...
  14. Gladiators Snow Wheeling - Post Your Pics!

Well, when the snow flies, I break out the snow blower and clear the drive and walk ways but being retired and having to go nowhere, I gots zero pics of driving in the snow ☹
  15. Wife Stole the Gladiator :)

My wife has a '19 GC Ltd, as her daily driver. She loves when it has to go in for routine maintenance because she gets to drive my Overland (ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19). She loves the looks she gets when she's driving it (and she does remember to wave to other JT and Wrangler drivers, and...
  16. Leaves piling up between the cab and the bed...how to get rid of them?

    Tried that once...didn't do a damned thing ☹ ☹ ☹
  17. Leaves piling up between the cab and the bed...how to get rid of them?

Well, thanks for all the tips 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 I actually went out and bought a yard stick and, sho 'nuff, that did the trick. Geeze were there a LOT of leaves in there 😲😲😲 All nice and cleaned out now :rock::rock: Again, thanks :):):):):)
  18. Trailer Owners, Wolfbox Needs Your Help Please!!!

I'm fortunate to have a twin axle trailer considering I had a sidewall blowout on the Cross Bronx Expressway (at least I was 3/4 the way across it so pulling off was a bit easier). It was the trailing axle that had the blowout. Cheap Chinese made tires. The only reason I knew about it was some...
  19. Trailer Owners, Wolfbox Needs Your Help Please!!!

My General RV dealer sells TPMS kits but, dayum are the expensive...anywhere from $350 to $500, NOT including installation. Would be nice to have though.
  20. Trailer Owners, Wolfbox Needs Your Help Please!!!

LOVE my Sonic. I have the SN220VRB with the outdoor kitchen. Ours is 27' LOA and 7 1/2' wide. Mine comes in at around 5,100 lbs with all we want or need. I tow mine with my Overland (ordered 5/19, delivered 7/19).
