You are correct. You do not need any of the relay stuff. I cut it right out of the harness. I'll have more pictures and my write-up in a few days. I have the wiring all done, I just need to decide where/how I'm mounting the lights.
Thanks for that update! I haven't hit 80 in my g80 yet either. 75 I hit for a short while. But the wind noise in my 35 is that too loud at that point. I'm guessing drone will be a non-issue here as well.
Nice Beta! I have a 2016 390 myself! Can't wait to loud it up get some riding in.
To the OP, I wouldn't worry about hauling with the tailgate down. Use 4 straps and you are good to go. If you're worried about weight, just drop a 3/4 piece of plywood in the bed that goes over the tailgate.
We don't race them. We just drive them around off ramps, walls, hills etc.
They're a good size. They take an amazing amount of abuse. But they do break. Wrenching on them is half the fun.
I would love if Rigid would come out with brackets like this for some of their different lifts they offer as backup packages. If I had the tools I'd fabricate own.
Is it odd, I too have a white on white Gladiator like the both of you. @shrinkhead thank you for answering my questions even when one of the answers was right in the subject.
Looks great! Love the set up. Few questions if you don't mind. What bike rack is that? What do you have strapped to the tailgate? How come you have the ski rack button to open set to the inside? Kind of a pain to release?
I'm waiting on some custom brackets to build a similar set up...
Great video! Yikes on the dirtbiker. What a fluke fall, he had to have been embarrassed. He's lucky and could have easily broken something on himself.
Your also taking the damage to your truck better than I would have been!
You are correct. I found it on the HVAC screen. On the right side just below the the blue passenger temp arrow on the attached picture . I never use the screen for HVAC controls, I've only been using the physical knobs and buttons.
I went with AMP XL's as well for my wife and kids. They will hold up fine to the light off-roading I will do. I didn't need the durability of the RSE's as I have no intention to be dragging my rockers across rocks etc.
