In theory, yes, though I have a manual trans and it rarely triggered anyway.
I have used the electric memory switch wired under the dash and keep it ESS off. I am 68 years old, when my engine quits I think something is wrong. My Jeep remembers on it's own that I do not want ESS.
I have removed the aux batt completely. I pulled no fuses. The leads for the aux battery are connected to the main at the terminals. Yes, they reach, the negative barely. I'd been two years now with no problems. I'd post a picture but I am not in the same state as it is currently.
Sure reduces the trail worthiness. Looks as dopey as any dually that is just a set of tires added to the axle width.
If the mfg's would only make shorter axles and tuck it all into the same width...I know that would take cubic feet out of the box but it sure would look better. Personally, I...
I smell citrus: lemon. You should try to begin the process of getting it replaced by Jeep.
A person should never have to endure this, you should be enjoying your new vehicle.
DON'T!
There was a post last week about this grease on door and top seals.
I bought Sil-Glyde last year for door seals and the hatch seals on my boat. I sure wish I had not. All the hype about this product being the answer to preserving the seals on vehicles and boats. This stuff "drys out"...
Don't go solo until you know the limits of the truck and your skill if you think you will be stretching those limits. Just the same as hiking or mountain climbing: Don't go alone if you can help it and leave word where you are going. Boaters leave behind a sailing plan, otherwise, it is a big...
"But I can tell you that they exclusively use Kendall. The shop manager called me and told me that he had been working on cars for 40 years and didn't like Pennzoil and that Kendall was good and he liked it."
I know Kendall Oil, It is kind of regional and I would prefer that over Pennzoil...
Yep, I have a '90 Dakota. Same comments. The real laugh was you could get a bench seat in the front...like three peeps were going to fit.
For the two door Jeep idea, I'd swoon over a two-door extended cab. Half door suicide access to the back...now I feel faint!
Sorry for your bad luck and disappointment! That experience would suck with any brand.
I also think your comment on mechanics these days being too reliant on the scanner is spot on!
Wish you could bring your Jeep out here to Hawaii, my dealers', service department seems very squared away...
Shadowspapa, that's useful info from the MOPAR filter use!
When I was young...say, 50 years ago; Fram was choice. Then they began production in Guadalajara. Sorry, I try not to use filters of any sort made in Mexico. (Or China, for that matter) My perceived lack of quality control.
It gets...
I screened the intake with stainless 1/4 mesh to keep the 101 degree rats and mice out. They love my carport and ruin the acceleration when they get in the intake no matter what the ambient air temp is.
This is absolutely true. Pay attention to where you buy. And be very careful about Craigslist. Never pay up front to an individual without some kind of references.
Though I am a former Military member I would never use that as a reference. I am skeptical of those who advertise they are a...
