I take my Gladiator through the local Splash N Dash every week. The hard top does just fine, no leaks that I have noticed and the machines inside the wash rack don’t seem to be too rough on the paint. The workers there fold the mirrors in and guide you on to the tracks and it pulls you on through.
I’m totally stock right now with the exception of a short antenna. I do plan on leveling it and running 35s in the next few months. I am moving across the country (NC to CA) in the new year and will need to tow my toy Jeep so I’m keeping it stock for that to help with efficiency a bit.
I will...
I love the look of the Rubicon, but I’m very glad I went with a Sport S with Max Tow. I didn’t buy my Gladiator to rock crawl so I couldn’t justify the added premium for the Rubicon just for the sweet hood and fender flares. Yeah, the Rubicon has lockers and sway disconnects, but I need the...
I'm going to hook up my trailer this weekend (if all goes well) and throw my TJ on it and see how it drives around town. Still deciding what brake controller and weight distro hitch I'm going to purchase so it won't be an extensive or long test, I just want to see how the Gladiator handles the...
I really, really wanted a Sting Gray JT but I was in a position to pick one up immediately and the dealer had a black one optioned the way I wanted. I’m leasing so if i decide after a few years that I just hate black so much I’ll trade her in for a different color.
My wife and I made a deal that I could get the Gladiator if we could fit three seats in the back (we already had our third on the way so there was no escaping that). Otherwise I was looking at having to buy another boring full size truck.
Where’d ya get tires so cheap? Everywhere local to me wants at least $1k for 33” ATs - it’s to the point where I’m almost ready to bite the bullet for 35s because it would only be about $150-175 more.
I have a 4 year old in a rear facing diono, and 8 year old in a Peg Perego booster, and another Diono installed in the middle for a newborn (six days old today). It’s obviously cramped side to side in the back seat but there’s plenty of empty space in the floorboard area.
The newborn’s seat...
Saw a nice silver Sport S (could have been an Overland) with what looked to be Mopar lift and 35s outside of New Hanover hospital in Wilmington, NC this weekend.
Also spotted a black one headed northbound on the 17 towing a boat. I was driving my wife’s Pilot and headed southbound so didn’t...
I’m from the TJ world myself, and I’d rather stick with JJs than anything else. I Run Rokmen short arms that I had made into dual adjustable arms before they made them that way. Same arms going strong for about 10 years with no issues.
It looks neat but there is no way these will be implemented en masse to the military. We just spent billions on crappy JLTVs to replace some of our aging HMMWV fleet and I’m sure the DoD has their nuts in a vice to keep purchasing JLTVs until Oshkosh releases their next dumpster fire of a light...
There are a few on the road in the Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune area. Mine is a black Sport S, a friend of mine has a silver Overland, there’s a red sport that’s lifted, and someone over in the logistics area of the base has what appears to be a granite LE which looks very nice.
I’m at about 1600 miles in my Sport S and have no complaints about the seats. They are comfortable enough for me and they don’t feel too stiff or too soft. If you’re used to or want seats with 400 directions of adjustability, you won’t find that in the JT seats.
There are plenty of trucks with electric rear windows, and I think Titans have (or used to have) the full glass slide down.
It would be an awesome idea on the JT to have an electric rear window, but the motor(s) and tracks would take up cabin space and I’d be worried about the water tightness of...
For those of you with a distribution hitch - which one are you using? Before I spend a couple hundred on one, I’d like to see what everyone is running and why, pros, and cons.
I’ll be towing a lifted TJ on 35s, on a 16’ flat trailer when I do tow, not sure of exact weight at the moment, but I...
