The OP is not clear on some things. What year? Which Uconnect? Premium system? Is it under warranty? Generally, there is not a "fix" that can be done at the consumer level. All is done at the dealer level as any diagnosis is by direct computer communications with Mopar starting with Starscan.

It is not normal. That is what warranty is for. Part of the high price paid for these vehicles. By all means, use it. ?

I went with the Mopar locking gas cap. Has worked perfectly. No check engine light here.

I installed my locking gas cap to keep those from putting something IN my tank vs taking something OUT. ;)

Mine does not have the tether. I rest it between the box and the cab when fueling up. I like the small dedicated key. I have it on the fob ring with my house key.

I bought the Mopar 5278655AB in February. This is the model that has comes with its own keys. Works great!

My dealer told me the same thing (along with spray-in bedliner). Ordered mine on 2/14 without mats, bedliner and hardtop headliner. Took delivery from my dealer on 3/15. Went very, very fast. Added the Mopar headliner, Mopar slush mats and bed mat/t-gate liner myself.

Exactly the same thing I did and would do again (except for the Gorilla glass which I wouldn't do). Lots of aftermarket choices with bedliners, tonneau covers, etc. that are as good or better than the factory stuff anyway.
