Perfect, thanks.
There is a MTX575 coming out, as in it's on Midlands webpage, but not in stock. Looks like a great more powerful option at 50 watts.
I was tempted to wait, but honestly w GMRS antenna and height are the main factors (tho 50 watt will cut through trees etc better). With the...
I did a lot of reading and building before finding mine.
Only thing I might add would be the proxy sensor for the door lock, and even that's not really a huge one (I can add it and I'm not that interested to do it).
I'm totally happy with my rig.
Fact is the JT is one of the best new trucks there is, and it's got the best quality. We can all bitch and echo chamber "all" the issues. But they are good rigs. Stuff breaks, it is what it is, and ya there are no loaners, any where. Again 1st world problems and amazon next day delivery...
I'm looking at the MXT275 as well. Big draw for me is the remote head. JT dose not have a lot of space for adding a Head unit that I like and keeping it all out of site out of mind is good.
Can any of you post some pics where you mounted it? I've heard under the steering Colum, under the seat...
Don't all the JT's have it? Just missing the cord. Search here I think you can buy the cord off amazon for $20 plugging it in is a b#$tch if I remember the thread right. Edit that;s just the Diesels.
But really in OR no, you don't needed it even on the East side the state, Nor in ID really...
Invest in a 5th wheel, that will aid in keeping your tires longer as you can rotate 5. And if you do bust, ding what ever a wheel 4 years from now you have a spare.
I bought a 5th to have 5 matching.
Done a few long trips; 5 hrs drive after picking her up.
Drive 5.5 hr each way to see parents.
6 hr round trip in a weekend.
10.5 hr each way to the coast over 4 days.
Dose just fine. I like my seat.
