Just reporting back. Code cleared and so far hasn't come back. I don't have a mode 6 reader just the tazer. I haven't driven any distance yet but will this afternoon. Before after clearing the code it'd come back right away.
I saw threads about the Bosch ones being complete pants, i did find...
I should have included in my original post that where the wire break is, access is limited. I could probably with enough time and effort fix the wire in place but it's likely that removing the sensor is going to be faster and easier.
Typed this and forgot to hit send. I removed the passenger...
My check engine light turned on last Friday. Conveniently the Tazer allows you to read codes so i pulled over and read the code. It was a P0032 "HO2S Heater Control Circuit High (Bank 1 Sensor 1)". I got out checked where i thought the sensor might be and sure enough the harness rubbed on the...
Do the sales numbers really matter? How many parts are shared with the JL? How much is the markup for basically buying a lot of the same parts? Also the union document mentioned looks like the JT is getting PHEV in 2025.
The union document indicates it's going to be the J70?
I'd avoid the Firestone Winterforce tires. I had those on a ford ranger both studded and plain and the traction was better than an AT but not angels playing trumpets like the other winter tires I've tried.
To the OP my first thought is tires. If you have poor snow performance the best AWD system can only do so much if the tire is poor. This surprises me as the Falkens typically get good reviews for snow maybe they are too wide. I've never run them and only run dedicated snows.
I've ran quite a...
I really wish i could just supply the parts and have someone else do the labor for the recall. I know that's not how it works but a guy can dream right? I could do the swap myself I just dont' want to put the time in.
Jeep should just buy clutches from center force or someone and just get the...
I think they switched over to winter blend. I was getting 20-21 on my gas but after my last fill up driving the same roads to work and back I'm getting 18.5.
Last year this time we were what 40 degrees cooler and a week away from our first snow? 91 degrees on October 1st is crazy and way too warm.
I'll add in that i read about how stiff the system can be from the factory, with 15 miles on mine it was STIFF 30lbs doesn't seem like nearly enough. Also once you hit 4low be prepared for just as much effort to get back out. The advice in the manual to try and skip neutral is also good. If you...
Assuming the train is traveling the average speed of a freight train and has the same weight as an average freight train of 3,000 tons it takes 0.48 min to expend a gallon of fuel. A paper route probably takes 2 hours so .96 minutes to expend the same amount of fuel as the person on the paper...
Areodynamics have an impact at all speeds, period. Drag and friction exist at all speeds period. Drive at 25 MPH and try and hold a 24"x24" piece of cardboard flat facing forward, then come back and say aerodynamics don't exist at city speeds.
Just as a side note i was running my tires a bit...
I average 21in the summer and my worst in the winter was 17. Recently i had about 120 miles on 55mph back roads with minimal stopping. Part that confused me was the MPG screen said 26.8 but the trip odo that was resent at the gas pump said 23.0. Both the MPG screen and trip get reset at the...
So with that grill, does the cooling system even work?
LineX claims 40-70 lbs assuming the small bed lets us 40 lbs for the bed and probably 4x that for the rest of the vehicle? so 160-200 lbs. That'd reduce my payload by about 20%
I'm iffy on the strength of the half way up setting. The little plastic clips just don't seem as strong as the metal latches. That could be flawed logic though.
I do the angling with the tailgate up some times. My hope is that it looks goofy and attracts someone's attention in addition to the...
Picked up a board or 30.
The extra ~700lbs in the bed made the already soft overland suspension float over the road, it was kinda nice.
Any one else haul long items tailgate up? I've always loaded this way, saves me from worring about skewering those people that tailgate loaded vehicles. The...
I think this is about the wireless data that's being sent to jeep directly. Ya know that monehtly email you get with your vehicle health report. I am not so sure the OBD2 port is getting removed any time soon.
That said aren't the safety aspects being wildly over exaggerated? THE SGW, or...
I feel like the weight is less of an issue than frontal area of the trailer though it doesn't help. I was able to tow this setup which i estimate was about 3,500 lbs (log and trailer) no issues. It clipped on the freeway at 70 just fine. Mostly flat land but i went over a few overpasses which...
I think I've seen you on the road.
They Axed the MT option on the overland and don't offer snazzberry. I'm sure that puts my JT in a small crowd (thought probably only sought after by me).
I feel like the conversation about modified engine vs stock engine is creating confusion. Anytime the engine power is modified from what was originally provided from the factory the oil recommendation in the owners manual is no longer covering the configuration of the engine. Research and...
I Checked the Manual and the wording they used is as you posed and is a bit odd. Here is a bit more plain English. Hold steady on the gas pedal and try to maintain speed, don't increase in speed don't lift and decrease in speed. Once you shift lift off the pedal for a short bit to allow the...
